You can easily use a usb jump drive or similar to go between machines with OneNote. The easiest way is to simply create a new notebook ON THE USB DRIVE. Leave the notebook open within OneNote on the first machine (you can still close OneNote itself). Then go to the second machine and open the notebook from the usb drive. Again, leave it open within OneNote. Now when you move the usb drive between machines OneNote will automatically sync the changes, even down to differing elements on a single page. You can even go ahead and use the notebooks without the jump drive in place and it will sync later when it is there. If you note the tab containing the notebook name it should have an icon that shows the sync status - really handy.
This may or may not be what you were asking about, but if you are not familiar with this capability it will be very easy to try out.
