ahh 2007 Emma 12/16/2008 8:33:01 PM I have the first page of the document with 3 columns I would like the second page to have two or even 1 column but I can't seem to do it, can anyone help me?

Insert a Section Break -- probably Section Break Next Page would be best. Then set the columning for the number of columns you want.
