Dot Leader and Tabs
Legallisa - switching from WordPerfect 12/9/2008 8:01:03 PM
Hello,

I want to type the following on one line. I need to tab to (1989) and I
need a right aligned dot leader after the (1989). How do I do this? Do I
have to create a table?

(1989)

Assuming you want what you said (all on one line) and not what appears
below, it just takes two tab stops -- one at the first indent (or,
instead of the first tab, you could just indent the paragraph) and a
right tab at the right margin, with dot leader turned on. Type a tab
after the parenthesis and then your numbers.

Thanks. Didn't think about paragraph indenting.

I kinda stumbled on a solution too.

I opened up paragraphs | tabs
Highlighted the .5 tab stop position and selected none as the leader, then
Highligted the 6.25 right tab and selected dot leader.

Will that cause a problem?

That's the exact equivalent (for those of us who prefer keyboarding to
mousing).
