Can someone confirm this? I noticed that in some cases incoming emails are not auto-linked to accounts, though all data in contact fields is filled.
I noticed also that it seems to happen with companies who have "complicated" name (for example Global Investments (India) Pvt., Ltd. (Rajesh Group)) and respectively complicated "Display as" field in Email group.
If "Display as" field simplified manually, seems that glitch disappears. I did not made any thorough research on the topic, but may be other people noticed same bug.
