Can somebody help?

Hi WildDoktor,
What version of office do you have? Basic, Pro, Small Busienss?
Secondly, if you could set this registry key:
Path hkcu/software/microsoft/business solutionseCRM
Key Bcmlogging
Value: 255
type: dword
Once this key is set, a log file should be created in your %temp% folder. In that log, look for the first instance of [E]. Please post your findings. -- -- Jerry Blake [MSFT] Visit team blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/bcm

Wow...thanks for the response!
Ok, let's see here:
Office 2007 Professional *This came from a Microsoft Launch Event. I downloaded two files (Office 2007 Pro and BCM) and entered the key(s) I was given at the event. So, these are either trial or demo versions, made "whole" with a license key.
Secondly, I've created the key and dword; what's the name of the log file supposed to be? I assume that I was to shut down Outlook, make the reg changes, then start Outlook again, click OK 77 times, and then check for the log file? I just did all that, and don't see a file created recently. (Yep; I've got hidden files set to "view", etc.).
Here's what the exported key looks like...is this correct? [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Business Solutions eCRM\Bcmlogging] "255"=dword:00000000
Thanks! Bill <><

The log file would be in your temp folder %temp%\bcmlog_V3.log. -- -- Jerry Blake [MSFT] Visit team blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/bcm

Makes sense, huh? :-)

In a way it does. Looks like your database that is attached to your profile is corupted. If you have a backup of your data, you could go to the mail applet, and remove bcm from your profile, then re add it with a new database. Then import your back data. If you just want outlook to run with out bcm, you can just remove it from your profile with the mail applet like above.

Thanks, Jerry! Question: what are the "mail applet" and "profile" you're talking about? Do you mean within bcm? Because bcm doesn't even work within Outlook any more...just the annoying popups...all 77 of them. :-)
Actually, something happened the other day. I started Publisher, and the bcm error box popped up! I said "ok", and then an installer for bcm appeared. ??? I decided to go with it, and install bcm. Well, it couldn't find all the files it needed, so I expanded the .exe (that I downloaded from microsoft site) and pointed the installer to that folder. It found the files it needed and closed. Now, I still don't have bcm installed in Outlook...but the popups are GONE!!!
Of course, I'm afraid to "install" it again, for fear of the popups. But I'd really like to try bcm out (I had only done a small amount of experimenting, and didn't have any actuall business info, so it's ok that I lost that).
Any suggestions?

The mail applet is what you use to configure your email profiles. You can get to it from the control panel->mail. A profile in outlook context is the contianer for your user information. That is, it holds the information about where your email comes from, what folders to display in outlook, and in bcm cases what database you are connecting to. -- -- Jerry Blake [MSFT] Visit team blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/bcm

Oh; duh...I get to it from within Outlook, so that was a bit of a brain tease for me! :-)
Ok; I deleted that database, and I will now re-install bcm and see what happens. Thanks for everything, Jerry; I'll report back in a day or so!
