Hi B.,

Use Start=>Search and look for a file named
opa12.dat
and send it to the recycle bin. Then restart the PC and try the activation again.

This just happened to me also. Is it the same process with Vista since I
just got vista and not that familiar with it???

I tried this last night and could not find the file on my PC. I have Vista
home premium. Would that make any difference?

Thanks for the tip, will try. As I still have to wait for a MS delayed
shipping (April 23rd!, 2007) of my Office 2007 Edition :( My trail
erxpired on March 30th!!! So far I had been working with adjusting my
system date (works fine) but not very convienent on many occasions!

Frenchy, did you activate to seachr for hidden and system files?

I did find two files myself!
Cheers
Dan

EEK!! Did you try Amazon.com first? Save money and possibly have the
software before then.

Hi Dan,

If you purchased a conversion from trial online you should be able to activate teh perpetual license with a key you should have been
given either online or via email.

If you selected a different edition of Office 2007 than the one you had used for the trial, you can download that new editions trial
(if available), install it and you should be able to use your non-trial product key.

Bob,
thanks the second hint worked! Just downloaded on the official Office
2007 page a trial for a of a Edition. Now I have the time covered
until the shipping is arriving.
It is a smaller EDU partner who is not yet hooked up to the online
licensing system.... So I do have to wait for the physical shipping.
