Auto Dial DSL Code
Access Painter 12/21/2008 12:51:01 AM
How can I have the auto dial function use my internet broadband connection
instead of the modem to place a call from within access. It works fine with a
modem but I would prefer it use my DSL connection since I am never connected
to the modem

DSL is always open and unless you have a VOIP account it is unlikely that
you will be able to use it to place calls.
That's one of the reasons you placed filters on your line so you could use
it for voice at the same time.

Does your internet phone system allow you to plug in a standard phone?

I would think that just plugging your modem into an extra phone jack on your
DSL phone system would do the trick...

If your phone handset is a VOIP phone, then of course this will not work,
but a good number of voip systems (especially home ones) allow you to plug
in a standard phone...and thus you should be able to plug in your modem to
that phone jack also....
