Can't uninstall Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 SP1
missbrokensmile 10/25/2008 12:53:00 PM
My computer came with the trial version of Microsoft Office Professional 2007
installed, but since it was only a trial and I already had Home and Student
version, I uninstalled Professional and installed Home and Student.

However, now whenever I open an Office program, I get this, "Office
application does not match" pop up and I can't get rid of it. So, I
researched on the net. I found out it was to do with Outlook, and the BCM. I
looked up the support page on the Microsoft website and none of those options
helped me...

I tried to uninstall BCM through "Uninstall a program" (I thought it got
uninstalled when I uninstalled the the Professional suite, but apparently
not), and for some reason, I can't! It just says, "Setup failed to remove the
following products: Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 SP1."

Can anyone help me uninstall this product?

This has worked for me:
In regedit.exe, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Search from subkeys with "Business Contact Manager" in them.
For each one, find the UninstallString value, and copy the data to the
clipboard.

The data will look something like this: "MsiExec.exe /
X{ABCD0000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}"

Open a cmd window, paste that in, and run it.

You should find ~ two entries for BCM under the Registry's Uninstall
