EOpen Volume Licensing Availability of BCM 2007
max3002 2/8/2007 10:47:01 PM
I recently purchased a new charity volume license for a non-profit
organization I work with, through Microsoft's Eopen. We purchased license and
software assurance for Office 2007 Proffesional Plus, Windows SBS, Windows
SBS Premium, and Vista Business.

Would know if BCM 2007 would be availalable for download as part of one of
these products? I had read somewhere that volume license customers would be
able to download the program for no additional cost.

BCM is a perfect product for many non-profit/charity organizations it seems
odd it has been so difficult to obtain from Microsoft! Any help much
appreciated!

Please refer to note 1 on the suite comparison page
(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/contactmanager/FX101635841033.aspx):

"Volume License customers who purchase Office Professional Plus 2007 or
Office Enterprise 2007 may request installation media for Office Outlook
2007 with Business Contact Manager through their reseller or download the
product by visiting the volume licensing services Web site."

Alternatively, you can download the "Download2" file through Office
Professional and Office Small Business trial website
http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/default.aspx?lc=1033. Verify that file
name is X13-40150.exe. This is BCM installation program. Don't worry about
the trial key provided on download page. Since BCM license is based off
Office licensing, as long as you have valid Office SKU installed, BCM will
function correctly.

Thank you very much for this information. I am currently downloading the
"Download 2" file but I had to go to the Business Contact Manager page to get
it. Not sure why the link you provided did not work for me but here is an
alternate link in case others have trouble as well.
