Excel Automatically Opening Old Files Cheryl G 12/23/2008 9:25:10 PM Every time I open Excel, it automatically opens the same five old files which I have previously worked on. Not the ones from the prior day, but the same five from some random previous time period. I then have to individually close down each of the files before I start my current day's work.
