If you have Outlook & BCM 2007, look for SQL Server (MSSMLBIZ). If you have Outlook & BCM 2003, look for MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ. Check the status to ensure that it is running.
Also, you can check the event log for errors by clicking "Start | Run" then type eventvwr and click "OK". Check the Application & System logs for errors around the time that you could not access the database.
