BCM 2003 outlook help!!!
Liz1380 2/10/2007 12:53:00 AM
I get a message every now and again that says BCM for Outlook cannot be
loaded. Cannot access database. Database is currently stopped.

Do you want to change the configuration?

Usually I only get this message when I am not connected to the Internet.
But I am connected today. I thought I have created a database. Now I cannot
access my contacts. Can you guide me to the correct area on this website
that can help me. I have searched and searched and cannot find the right
information.

Do I have to delete everything and start over? It won't even let me create
a new database?

Can someone help me PLEASE!

Try Windows' event logs. They may have an explanation why sql isn't
starting or something similar.

Yes, try restarting your computer, then right-click on "My Computer" and
select "Manage", expand the "Services and Applications" folder and click on
"Services". If you have Outlook & BCM 2007, look for SQL Server (MSSMLBIZ).
If you have Outlook & BCM 2003, look for MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ. Check the
status to ensure that it is running.

Also, you can check the event log for errors by clicking "Start | Run" then
type eventvwr and click "OK". Check the Application & System logs for
errors around the time that you could not access the database.
