He can manually Create Outlook Task from the toolbar option. Both Outlook (Office) and One Note are SP3. ps - I don't use the product (yet)

But according to Kath Jacobs' book [1] on ON 2003 (p. 126 f.) one can create tasks (a result is shown). It does not tell how to do that, however. I'd assume that it would work rather the same way as creating appointments and creating contacts. Anyway The functions for the co-operation of ON and Outlook were rather limited in ON 2003. They are by far improved in ON 2007 (as ON 2007 is is ways above the old version [which more or less was a first shot]). If your boss really wants to do *work* with ON my one and only recommendation is to upgrade to ON 2007 ASAP [2]. IMHO he who still uses ON 2003 now that ON 2007 exists and is available at rather small money, punishes himself by the day and the hour. Is he clicking the To-Do TAG for the item (little square check box) or is he using the flag-like icon that actually creates an Outlook task associated with that line in the OneNote page? Get with the 21st century already! :) If you want, you can get a free 60-day eval copy from the Office web site (http://office.microsoft.com), then if you like it you can just purchase a license key online and activate the program permanently.
