Can't Install Out of Office Assistant
Liz 9/3/2006 4:38:01 PM
I do not have nor can I get my Out of Office Assistant on my Tools Menu.

I have followed the steps in the help file to get my Out of Office Assistant
to appear in my tools bar but it is not working. Specifically:

I clicked on Tools...Options...Other...Advanced...Add-in Manager...and then
I saw that there is no EXCHANGE EXTENSIONS COMMANDS option but there was
Exchange Extensions Property Pages which I thought might be the right button,
however it already had a tick in the box!

So I tried to reinstall the Exchange Extensions Property Pages - - -
clicking Install opens a folder in Program Files...Microsoft Office...Office
10...Add-ins and lists a whole bunch of .ECF files. I don't know which one
to choose to activate my Out of Office Assistant so I guessed and tried both
OUTEX.ECF AND OUTEX2.ECF. Nothing seems to happen and I still do not have my
Out of Office Assistant on the Tools Menu.

Please advise.

OOA is available only if you have Exchange as your mail server.
