Set Word User Information Via Group Policy

Hi,

We have a number of workstation that have been build from a standard build.
This means that the user information in Word (Tools > Options > User
Information) is all set to the same generic name & initials. Is there a way
I can use group policy to set the username to something like %username% so
it picks up the logged on users details? I have loaded the office adm
templates in to our group policy but there is not option for 'User
Information', I have edited adm files before and added different policy
settings, but it doesn't look like word looks under
"Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word" for this information. From
what I can see this information is stored in binary under
"Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\UserInfo".

Can I add this information to the policy successfully?

Many thanks

Ben

Try to implement it as Reg_Expand_SZ and see what happens ...
