Setting Up Users
Rockwater 6/26/2006 11:41:01 PM
I was looking for some help with setting up users for my DB. Because of
where I work the DB is on a shared drive so all user with access to that
drive can access the DB. I would like to assign user but the last time I
tried it only worked on my computer and not the others. Any help or guidance
would be welcomed!

First you need to split your database into an application and the data
tables. There's a wizard to help you.:

Tools ... Database Utilities ... Database Splitter

Link the application to the tables which will reside on a server, and place
a copy on each workstation. To avoid conflicts you need a server. A machine
running server hardware and software is preferrable, but a spare workstation
will do if you have nothing else.
