Copied versions are illegal.

Thanks for the help! Would expect nothing more from Microsoft! There's several posting about this error due to Microsoft incompetence.

I have a fully legal copy of MS Office Professional 2003. I have MS XP and have it set to automatically download updates. It is downloading and trying to update Outlook and during installation asking for L2561403.CAB. I've got the disk in the drive and it can't find the file anywhere.

Now if we can get someone to provide a real solution or get MS to do real Quality Control (I know it's like a foreign language to MS), wouldn't that be something! -- Microsoftbites ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Microsoftbites's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=26690 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=492840 http://forums.techarena.in

First of all there is nobody that is here in these newsgroups that work for Microsoft. Everybody here is a volunteer and it is a peer to peer newsgroup. What Jo-Ann told you on this she was correct.
The file exists on the legal install but it will might not be on one that is not a legal Disk. This file is listed and shown as L2561403.CAB Zip. It is a Zip file and the size being 10381kb. Have you checked your MSO cache file on your computer for this file?
Which Registry cleaner do you use. I am just curious as to the latter.

Sorry, I haven't been brainwashed by Microsoft or anyone else. I'm not a
Microsoft employee either. If you want a Microsoft-sponsored response, get
out your credit card and pay for it.
