I had to install The .Net framework 1.1 before installing the BCM upgrade
even though I had the .Net framework already installed. Do I need both
versions. Will BCM stop working if I uninstall 1.1 framework. I have Windows

Hi

In your case the BCM update would have detected an older version of CLR
(Common Language Runtime a part of .NET ) that is why it would have prompted
you to install the same .Do note the update requires .net Frame Work to be
present and accidental removal could render BCM unsable

Re: .Net framework 2.00

Thanks Raul. I'm afraid I didn't explain very well. I had .Net Framework 2.00
already installed on the computer. When I installed the BCM update it asked
me to install 1.1 even though 2.00 was already installed. Therefore can I
leave .Net 2.00 on and take off 1.1 or will BCM stop working. I would like to
install VStudio .Net 2003 but a prerequisite to installation is that I have
to uninstall .Net 1.1 .If I uninstall 1.1 BCM will stop working. Help!!

Raul,

I am unsuccessful installing BCM 2007.
Two things...
1) under add/remove programs I have .NEt 1.1, 2 and 3 installed...when
reviewing prep to install SQL Express I read to look under Control PAnel,
Admin Tool to see the version...this still says 1.1 is that an issue?

2)the error log says An installation package for the product Microsoft SQL
Server Native Client cannot be found. Try the installation again using a
valid copy of the installation package 'sqlncli.msi'. Where do I get this
and where should it reside?

Thank you
