How to remove Connector after unsuscribing to MOOL
sgtjdc 1/28/2006 5:46:30 PM
Last week I choose not to renew my subscription to MOOL and to keep Hotmail
Plus.
In Outlook Pro 2003 SP2, I deleted the existing Hotmail e-mail account with
MAPI and replaced with HTTP. However Connector insists on changing it to
MAPI which of course does not work anymore. So I cannot access my Hotmail
account from Outlook. I contacted MSN and they told me to contact Outlook
support but since my Office is OEM they will not talk to me for free. Also
every time I tried to remove the MAPI e-mail account and add a new one with
HTTP, a new folder is created and these folders cannot be opened or deleted.
In Outlook Connector Help there is a page labeled "Cannot revert to Outlook
HTTP Option " It does not give any help maybe it is just a statement !!!

Well... After I wrote this I went to Control Panel/ Add Remove Programs and
to my surprise I found that Outlook Connector is there as a separate program.
So I removed it and now I can access my Hotmail account. However I still have
6 folders that were created in my attempts that cannot be opened or deleted.
Any ideas?
