I can't open any Word files, it tells me they are "unavailable". chichama 1/28/2006 2:58:27 AM I've rebooted. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my Microsoft Software. I've checked for viruses and spyware. I created a new document, saved and closed it, then tried to open it, and again got the message that the file is unavailable. I just used these files yesterday!

However when I tried to do this, it will not let me open Norton. I even tried just to uninstall it, but it won't let me. Any suggestions for this? Suzanne - I realize that, but I couldn't get Norton to open so that I could follow garfield's original advice. That's when I tried to uninstall it, but it wouldn't let me even do that. I am not even sure what it did. but beware it is a real kicker. I will never use it again. I am still trying to get my computer to function normally. It has been six days.
