Hi guys, Against the odds, I somehow managed to put a dell OEM xp slipstreamed sp2 os onto my macbook...and freakishly enough I like it. (although I'll still be using Mac a lot, duh). Anyway...my issue is this. The OEM cd came with my very ailing Dell Inspiron 500m with which the HD is about the die anyway. Problem is, of course, it's still there. And in reality...I can't really...."uni...

After running belarc advisor I have a couple of questions
I ran Belarc Advisor tool and was surprised at the high numbers of "failed" I saw in various settings for my PC. For a person running a standalone XP Pro desktop, with no home network - what would be the best or most important settings to be looked at - and configured on my PC? I also ran the NG scoring tool gui and I secured %Sysroot% files. I ran into problems with configuring reg.e...

Boot from SCSI drive: Driver?
If a SCSI or a SATA driver is required to read data from a SCSI or SATA disk that is the boot disk (and the C drive), where is this driver stored... and how does Windows know enough to read the SCSI or SATA disk in order to read the code from this driver file? It seems that Windows would need the driver code loaded before it can read the driver code off of the disk, which is a catch-2...
