My Windows XP has become odd after re-installing it
I had a virus, and it annoyed me so much, i re-installed Windows XP. However,
now i have installed it again, it's become ever so weird. It's Xp S2, but it
didn't have the windows built in wireless driver, i had to use an old intel
one to get online, all the sounds are 'beeps' rather than the normal XP ones
i had before. Also, the screen resolution seemed blurier than before, and

Upgrade Home to Pro
I need to upgrade Home to Pro (domain network reasons) but not sure on the
best approach as I don't want to lose all the programs and documents that
have already been installed.
1. is there an upgrade disc and where do you get it?
2. shove in a new xp pro disc and do some sort of upgrade from that?
Thanks for any pointers

find out administrator logins
Hello: I used to be able to login as an administrator, but now it seems I
cannot. I know there are several accounts which have administrator access.
Weirdly, I know the passwords for these accounts, but I do not know the
logins. Is there a way for me to learn the logins with administrator access?
Thanks. - Jeff...

Setup return code 3221225794
This posting is more for documenation purposes only. I recently ran
across a problem when doing a chained silent install of multiple
programs.
There was a master script/batch file that was calling several
execuatables in a row. About half way through, the remainder of the
installations failed and all returned an error code of 3221225794.
After googling for this error code I came up with ...

GetDataBack... thinking about using it to resurrect my lost C: drive
This program looks promising to resurrect my lost C: drive (see earlier
thread for more details). I found a reference to it in conjunction with
Acronis Partition Expert, but are both programs necessary? Anyone have
experience with GetDataBack? Did it work or did it disappoint?
Thanks.

HELP new drive not recognize by XP
I just bought a new hard drive and the BIOS see it with no problem.
When Windows Explorer is open, it does not assign it a drive letter.
If I go to Disk Management, it shows up as UNALLOCATED.
I believe this means that it is not partitioned or formatted.
If I can't get WinXP to assign a drive letter to it, how can I
partition it or format it ?
Thanks,
Terry
