Search files on IPTC keywords
Hello,
I'm looking for a way to search files based on IPTC Keywords.
Is it possible with Microsoft tools under Windows XP?
In particular Desktop Search?
I update the keywords in the IPTC header with Photo Info which works fine.
I would like then to find which files contain the Keywords I'm looking for.
XnView does it, but I'd like to use native products.

Kodak Easy Share Software
I have read messages about people loosing their pictures. Nobody ever said
how they lost them.
Could someone tell me how they were lost. I never had any problem with easy
share software until tonight.
My CD was almost full and it started to verify my last upload and than the
CD was ejected. A note appeared on the screen saying to try at a lower speed
what ever that means.

Picture it! photo-Ver.7 load and work on XP?
Hi, Before I load Microsoft Picture It! photo Ver.7 -no other description on
it-it is an older one I used with my windows ME PC, I wondered if anyone knew
if it would load properly on an XP SP2 Med. Ed. 2005? The part # on the disc
is X08-83106. (although the sticker on the packaging says X08-83104). There
is no application use on the box or guide. Thanks in advance for any info.

Problem with autoplay
If anyone is having problems with autoplay, I found this in the New User
section. I tried it and it worked for me.

I know there were some other fixes but did not work for me, this one seems

Scanner & Photo Wizard
1) Is here a way to scan multiple images/documents into a single file?
Normally, I know the default operation is to scan separate files. But how can
I scan, for example, 12 pages sequentially into a single file?
2) Also, is there a way, once you're in the Wizard, to check or adjust image
exposure & quality? Or to reset dpi, etc.?
I would appreciate some suggestions.

Picture Disc
I just reeceived pictures and a disc from Walmart and my computer
won't read the disc. I tried to run it and it said install a disc but
when I put it in, nothing happened. I have window XP

Pasting a picture gives the written discription but no pic
This problem has occured since downloading an office update. Copying a
picture from 'my pictures' and then pasting it into a document gives the
written discriptor but no pic. I also seem to have lost the ability to right
click and send a picture to any office programme.
Any help would be appreciated....

send picture size
when i click on a file and select "send to mail recipient" (email) it asks
me if i want to change the size. The default is quite small. I realize I
can click more options and change the size, but can I just make the medium
size my default?

emailing photos
when i click on email this file it asks me if i want to change the size, i
say yes, then nothing happens. when my sisiter does this an email comes for
her to send. why doesn't mine when it is the same program?...

Photos deleted
Hi I was just prepareing a slideshow using pictures off a digital camera and
I just draged them to another file And it showed the preview image of each
picture I put their when I was done I deleted the pictures from the camera
and checked the folder and All the pictures were'nt there exept the preview
image of thelast picture I put their how can I get the photos back...

Synctoy does not sync empty folders
I'm not sure if its a bug or not, but should be considered for future
improvements.

Moving photos from one folder to another
I uploaded pictures from my camera to MY PICTURES, using ScanDisk, and gave
them a folder name. However some of the pictures should be in different
folders. In MY PICTURES, I created a new folder for each different subject
of pictures, (using the "Make a new folder" choice) then highlighted the
pictures that I wanted to move into one of the new folders. The new folder

Download Pics no longer working

Using the PnP device to transfer pics from my digital camera to my picture
file, the Scanner & Camera Wizard always automatically did this. Now the
Scanner & Camera Wizard will not display and my pics will not download. I
tried to do this manually by clicking in the Control Panel and then the
Scanner & Camera Wizard. Nothing is happening. Can you help.

Windows Explorer: "not responding" Me: going nuts!
I use Windows Explorer to view JPG and RAW files stored on a 2GB CF card and
in My Pictures (targeted to a separate 320GB HDD named F drive). Typically I
have Windows Explorer and Photoshop v7 open simultaneously. I am running a
legal XP home on a brand name desktop (P4 2.8G with 2GB RAM). Both users have

Loading music from I-tunes
My music library is in I tunes. When i try to get into the file to add to my
pictures story it won't do it. It just goes to I tunes. I have tried copy
to other files, to WMP. Ugh. I paid to load a particular song and it won't
load. Spent 2 hours trying to figure this out.
Any suggestions...

Opening e-mail attachments w/.php extension in Picture It! Photo 7
Whenever I get an e-mail with a photo attached w/ a ".php" extension I am
unable either to open it or open it after copying to Picture It! The error
message I get is "File C:\Program Files\Microsoft Picture It!\*.php could not
be opened." Anybody know how I can successfully open these e-mail
attachments? Thanks.

cannot open image file
i recently moved some photos from one folder to another in My Pictures. just
typical digital photos with file names like blahblah.jpg
now when i open the folders they are in the filmstrip pops up but there are
no previews for the newly moved photos. when i try to open one of them my
photo editing program opens (paintshop 8) but i get a message window saying
the file cannot be opened. ...

Clearing the WIA cache
We are using a Logitech camera to take photos in an office setting. We are
using the WIA drivers rather than the TWAIN drivers. The WIA software
retains past photos in the cache and I would like to delete the cache from
time to time so I don't have to scroll through all the past photos to get to
the one I want.
I cannot seem to find a way (or place in Windows) to manage or delete the ...
