Sonic RecordNow
Sonic recordnow application will work one time to burn, but after closing it
and coming back for another application...it will not open. I can solve it
by restarting the HP pavilion a1020n. The burner is HP DVD writer 640c with
LightScribe....

restart failure
I am having problems in restarting my Windows XP after installation of new
programs. My laptop was in for repairs at Acer SA (needed a new motherboard)
and on re-installing my programs my computer just won't restart when prompted
to to complete installation. I find this very odd. I am able to do a
successful reboot after switching off the computer and then turning it on,
but it just won'...

help with windows XP PLEASE
we have windows xp and it is slow keeps freezing up , pausing we did have
dial up swithched to DSL and it is still very slow... not much of a change at
ann i do disk cleanup etc defrag all that want to clean it but don't know for
sure without crashing it totally thankyou so much for any help u can give.

cmd is not a valid win32 application
Recently I have been getting wierd ie 7 errors,not errors per say ,system
restarts during ie7 operation and surfing . Error log shows many strange
things,memory causing hardware error,driver error causing problem,i even
tried removing mcafee and all ie 7 add ons,even google yes and yahoo no
difference. right now may even crash while i am online. I have serched and

I broke task manager
Well, not completely, but it isn't working correctly either.
I am running XP SP 2. I have an old academic license of Visual C++ 6.0 pro
that I decided I was going to reinstall a couple of weeks ago. I proceeded
to do so and I got a few strange error messages in the process. Then,
before I could try to run Visual C++ 6.0, I had to bring up the task manager

Virtual Memeory Low
Hi
I keep getting a yellow triangle in my task bar saying my Windows Virtual
Memory is too low.
I have gone into System / Advanced / and it is set @ 1534 which was
recommended.
Please advise what it should be set at, or what I need to do to fix this
issue.

I keep getting a message box on my desktop at startup.

I click ok and it goes away, but it is always there and annoying and I don't
know what it is related to.
Someone in another forum suggestted the following ~ however, I have to do

Disk Cleanup
A while ago I placed the Disk Cleanup from the All Programs menu on my
Desktop to remind me to run the program ever so often but, I think, the
Desktop Wizard got rid of the Disk Cleanup icon and now I don't have an icon
nor is Disk Cleanup in the All Programs menu; probably because I Sent To the
desktop instead of Creating a Shortcut. I know I can still run Disk Cleanup
by using the Run ...

Cleaning unnecessary files off hard drive
I'm trying to clean up my hard drive...beyond what Microsoft's Disk Cleanup
will do. I notice scores of folders in my Windows Temp folder with names
"mcu1A.temp", or mcu1B, mcu1C, etc. May I just delete these folders? They
contain files named *.mcaf.
I've also read an article on CNN's website about cleaning hard drives. In
it, its says to search for and delete the following file typ...

Durring XP Boot process, the PC beeps numerous times
When I turn on my computer and it is running through boot process just before
it starts to load the programs in the system tray, the computer beeps 3 to 4
times. Now this is more anoying then anything but I heard this could meen
that there is a virus or something in my system although Nortin doesn't pick
anything up.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem or what the cause could be?

No Audio after system reinstall
I am extremely frustrated!! I was forced to do a system reinstall after
