Curious boot failure
I have a PC with a corrupted XP installation but I can no longer boot from
either of the two CD drives or the floppy. This prevents me from reloading
the OS, naturally.
A very strange behaviour is observed when using the Windows Explorer. Any
CD-ROM or floppy that is a bootable medium will not show its contents; any
non-bootable media does show its folders and files as expected.

utility to tell what's accessing the disk?
In diagnosing systems it would be great to have a way to see what
programs or processes are using the disk. In Task Manager you can see
which ones are using the processor the most at any given time.
Sometimes I'm on a system and the drive is running a lot and I can't
determine what's using it so much. I check network access, internet
activity, the Task Manager list to see if any programs are ...

monitor, your computer may appear to be locked up. To recover, press any key

Color lose
I am having problems with colors when I use Office 2003 and Monies. In Office
when I change from black to a color it shows the color then returns to
black. If I check Print Preview it shows the color I have change to. With
Monies I have set up for my charts to show color, which it does for a while
then it goes to black and grey etc.
Can anyone help.
