Media Detection in Removable Storage Manager
I'm looking at using multiple DVD's to use as a backup media using ntbackup, currently I'm using a bit of a hack to drop the backup file straight onto a disc, but that's not going to last long, from everything I've read it should be possible to use Removable Storage... These slow down defrags, virus checks, etc. I don't plan to ever uninstall any previous updates, since the computer runs well. Can I safely delete these or will I regret it during a future Service Pack or some other update? Please ...

Perfmon problems persist even in the latest version!!!!
I just cant believe that the Perfmon tool that I rely on so much is riddled with bugs! Always in Author Mode. Problem #1 ======== I created a new perfmon with all my drives read and write bytes per sec. Customised the scale and color for 30 counters. The customisation stays in place until I save. When I open the saved perfmon, all my settings have been lost. Problem #2 =====...

Performance Monitor question
XP Professional SP2. Does anyone know what the Connects Window NT counter in the Redirector performance monitor object normally should return? The explanation says it "counts the connections to Windows 2000 or earlier computers", but I'm wondering what common number would be returned. In my case, we have about 1900 W2K and 1100 XP machines on the network. After running perfmon on m...
