Problems with Windows Installer Service....
I have a problem in deleting some programs from the add/delete in my Windows
XP. I am getting the message"Windows Installer Service could not be
accessed".
I then followed instructions as follows: I found msiexec.exe in
C:\Windows\System32
But when I went to verify this at HKey_local_machine\system\current contro
set\services\ the MSI Service was NOT THERE!

Last Name Changes.

Windows XP and 98
I have 2 HD, each are 20g. My friend reformatted my computer, but he put XP
on both drives (C and E). Is it possible to delete XP from one of the drives
and install 98, or do I have to totally reformat?

bluetooth setup not setting up for audio/ mic- XP Home SP2
XP SP2,
USB donagle adapter, USB 2.0 Broadcom 2045 BT Donlge, with WIDCOMM
4.0.1.2301,
and Soyo FreeStyler 500 Bluetooth Headset - Silver - BTWLHS01.
Soyo Head set works fine with my Samsung Trace phone.
USB 2.0 donagle Adapter works fine with my Trace phone to PC transferring
files and pics.
But I can not access or discover the headset device for use with
Skype (as a headset)...

Programmer need to complete project
I am new to this form stuff, so this may not be in the correct place.

Stuttering Webcasts

PC is Booting only from CD
Hi,
My daughter has reinstalled Win XP Home, using the Repair function on the
WIN XP CD but can now boot up only by using the Win XP CD.

I am curious if there is any way to get the spell ck feature to work w/o
installing MS Word or the rest of Office.
I use the CorelSuite eventhough I do have the Office 2k CD, I'd rather not
load both suites. My pref. is WP vs Word.

Cant access to internet options...
I have a problem accessing internet options... when i click on the icon from
IE, a popup says this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on
your computer. Please contact your system administrator.

What's like Norton only better?
You know, for disk maintenance and stuff like that? My machine cuts
out every now and then, and it takes longer and longer to reboot
lately, I get a flashing cursor at the top left of the screen for
longer before it decides to boot properly. I'd be happier if I had a
decent diagnostic/maintenance suite on board, any recommendations
please? I'm using XPSP2.

My account is not visible at logon screen
Hi everyone,
I need help... I have two accounts in my computer A) Administrative and B)
Limited,
B is my everyday account that I use to go online and prevent malware and
viruses to easyly enter my system.
The problem is, WinXP SP2 is not showing my limited account "B" on eather

Cannot decrpyt my files (they remain in green)
During a recent backup (XP Pro on a Netvista 8305), I noticed several
filenames appearing in green. At some point in the all-night backup, the HD
just quit. A local technician said the drive was bad and I needed a new HD
and a Win reinstall - about $200.
I swapped the drive out to a slave and installed a new, bigger HD (for

Disk image solution
Hi
We have several win xp PCs in the organization. Once in a while something
goes corrupt in a pc and pc needs to be re-done. Is there any way to keep an
image of each pc's disk so it can be restore form there, instead of
installing win and all apps from scratch which is a time consuming process?

Folders
I right click to make a new folder on my desktop, the new folder is not blank
it has search results. In my documents I click onto my pictures, no pictures,

i have windows XP SP2. i have recently installed nero 7 premium, since
installing nero i find that i can't put anything onto cd/dvd unless i do it
through nero, i used to just copy or send pictures files etc to the relevant
drive, now if i try to do it i get a message saying the drive is

File names all now appear underlined.
What have I done? Suddenly all the file and directory names both in the
Desktop beneath the icons and in Windows Explorer all have their names

Comcast says IE7 is not stable
Why in hell would Comcast tell me that?
Are those techs that brainy?
They still have not resolved my connection issue and blame everything but
themselves.
Even IE7 was questioned as the possible issue.
Comcast sucks, and has a monopoly.
