No video
I am trying to edit a TV show recorded with WMC. It is in the dvr-ms format,
I want to edit out the commercials. I cannot get the file to display in the
video window so I know when the commercials start and stop - the file is
recorded in dvr-ms from WMC.
I am using Vista Home Premium and WMM 6. I then want to port the movie to
Windows DVD Maker.

No Video but audio Analog S-video capture
-- I am trying to transfer analog video from a Sony Hi-8 xr model CCD-Trv65
NTSC. I have a Microsoft Windows XP Media Center edition computer version
2002 service pack 2 with a pentium 3.2 ghz and 2.00 gb of ram . I am also

Need help
I would like to know if I can use Windows Movie Maker and How to make a demo
about an application that I would like to show to my students? I have only a
legal Windows XP Prof. SP2, my DELL notebook, I don't have any digital or
other camera but I have the software installed in my notebook. Can I make a
sequence to show how software works?

Error Writing to CD-R
I have a 15 minute documentry I made for school, it has audio and video
comprising for the entire thing. Its just a little over 16 minutes long. I'm
using IMATION 700MB/80 MIN disc, which is CD-R, but everytime I try to save
it to a disc, I get an error message saying error writing, and that my disc
is either not usable or somethings on it, I've changed disc after disc, I
just dont under...

Preview pane shows wrong clip
XP SP2 locked up today. Rebooted, restarted MovieMaker, which asked if I
wanted it to recover the project at the time of the crash. I replied yes.
Now when I click on a clip (mostly photos for a slide show movie), the
monitor (preview) pane shows a different photo, usually the one immediately
preceeding it, but not always.
Worse, this happens in every project, not just the one that ...

Movie Maker 2 encountered a problem & needs to close
Shuts down before I can even get in. I changed my hardware acceleration,
checked my codecs, uninstalled IE7 - all fine, didn't fix problem.
Application error - faulting module is qedit.dll....Help..How can this be
fixed?...

i have several projects i want to put togather. i have not added the sound yet.
how can i put these projects togather and then add the sound. i would want
to do some minor editing after these are joined. it would be ideal if i could

Error Report
I'm devistated. I'm in the middle of a project and everytime I launch
Windows Movie Maker I receive the "...has encountered a problem and needs to
close." error window. I stay current with all updates and have only used
this program 4 or 5 times, but I really love it. I can't seem to
uninstall...was hoping to unistall and reinstall...fixing the problem...to no
avail.

Why is it taking so long to save to my computer??
well i reacorded footage last night. And i was so excited on editing it. I
always use Windows Movie Maker to edit any kind of video. Even if there are
flaws or random shutdowns, but i learn how to come around them. So once i was
done editing a 11 min. 30 sec. video. I went straight into saving it to my
computer. Now nothing is wrong with my computer. But as of right now its say
estimate...
