Clips sticking & loss of clarity in Storyboard & Timeline
Hello,
Can someone out there please advise?
Until recently all has been well in MM. Recently good/clear material
imported has been out of focus whilst in storyboard/timeline. Sometimes
reaction to mouse is quite slow.
Memory is OK at 132GB

Windows movie maker
My movie maker stopped working, probably because I have removed recently
another program that I was not using and maybe remove accidentally a file
that should not be removed.
How can i download and re-install the movei maker?...

How / Why is a MEDIATAB1.DAT File created? Is it normal naming co
I have aalways been of the impression that when a *.DAT file is created by
Moviemaker that it appears as MEDIATAB.DAT or MEDIATAB0.DAT, and that file
gets replaced / added to as time progresses.
The other day we found a MEDIATAB1.DAT file on the computer that appeared to
arrive admist strange circumstances. The usual default file on my PC is for

General Access Error
When I start Windows Movie Maker
It doesn't start
instead it gives a "general access error"
What can I do to fix this?
btw until recently it still worked fine

Windows Movie Maker & Microsoft Publisher
Is it possible, after making a movie using Windows Movie Maker, which has a
..wmv file extension, and saving it to my computer to insert the file into
Microsoft Publisher? If so, can someone explain or point me to a resource
that explains how this is done?

Error on downloading video file = wmv is not indexed
I am getting this error message whenever I attempt to import video files -
Please help:
The file C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\07050302-1-11.wmv is not
indexed and cannot be imported.

I want to know if there is something special I have to download for Movie
Maker to reconize the files that come off this camera DCR-SR100 Sony Hard
Drive camera. Also if there is a way for the files from HDR-SR1 Hi def camera

First time user...audio question
Trying to use program for 1st time...have a Sony DCR-TRV25 camera...captured
the video OK in MovieMaker on my Dell 5100 Media Version but have no audio.
What am I doing wrong ? Looks like several audio setting options...mic, what

My Videos Folder.
In WMM, is it possible to change the location of the "My Videos" folder from
the "My Documents" folder to another of my choice?

importing .MOV files
My computer was upgraded last week and since then I cannot import .MOV files
to MovieMaker.
I could do it in my old computer.
I have Windows XP Professional VL edition on both the old and new computer.

Hi all,

saving video files with more then three formats
I made some movies with windows movie maker and saved them as ex. ( these
days07.mswmm and when I pull the files out they never come up as I save them,
the text is not the same as I had done it, and sometimes the pictures don't

I plug a Samsung camcorder into my PC through a USB port, and start up

Advice Please: DVD Creation Software

Pictures Don't Show
I have pictures saved on a flash drive that I have inmorted into my movie.
When I open the movie, Movie Maker shows X where the pictures were, instead
of showing the actual picture. The only way the pictures will show is if my
flash drive is plugged in. How can I get the pictures to show without the

I'm at the end of my rope.

deleting audio from avi
Hi, I took a 30 second video using my HP camera that has an extension of
Mpeg. I did it at a noisy carnival which when I viewed it in the pc, the
sound was horrible. I would like to remove the audio of that clip so that I

Can't create clips
After recreateing video I found that MM created 2 large clips and removed the
"create clips" option. I must have done something that caused this but I
haven't a clue as to what it was. Following is my recollection of what I did.
Computer has Media center Edition 2005.
