title overlay & syncing to video timeline
I'm run into this little annoying tidbit.
Titles are placed on the timeline in the "titles overlay" bar.
However, they are synced to the overall timeline,
and not to their relative place within a video clip,
if placed "over" a video clip.
Then - if I trim a video - all the video shifts -
BUT the overlay titles do not.
I then have to manually re-adjust ALL the overlays
as they are pasted ...

TmpGEnc AVI Files Seem WAY Too Large
I wish to import some MPEG-2 files into Windows Moviemaker. Because
the problems with Moviemaker and MPEG-2 are well-documented, I decided
to use TmpGEnc to convert to uncompressed AVI as an intermediate
format acceptable to Moviemaker.
The source files are from a JVC Everio camcorder. This device writes
MPEG-2 files and tags them with a .MOD extension, which TmpGEnc does
not accept, but...

Length of Audio Clip
I'm using the Narrate Timeline feature and find that regardless of how long I
talk, the audio clip cuts off after 7.61 seconds. I've looked everywhere for
a setting that controls the length, but found nothing that allows the audio
clip to record longer. Can anyone help? ...

I never got Movie Maker
Hi, I updated to Serivce Pack 2 a long time ago and I never got Windows Movie
Maker, and now that I want it I try to get it but it tells me that I need
Service Pack 2, even after updating (AGAIN) I still don't have it.
Anything I can do?...

WMM & WinDVD Creator sound problems
Hi I have created a slideshow in WMM (as I like the effects better than Photo
Story 3. I imported it into WinDVD to print. I save the project to movie file
with settings of DV-AVI (Pal) & also high quality video (PAL) & also best
quality playback for computer.
With DV-AVI the sound & picture shutters
With High quality video its much worse than DV-AVI

WMM Clip Playback
Until just recently I was able to play any clip froman imported video. Now I
can only play the first clip from the collection. The rest will say they are
playing, but will be frozen on the first frame. Please help! This is making
editing very hard!...

Adjust slideshow length with the audio file
Trying to create a slide show with some pictures, I have a audio fle which is
of 5min 34 sec (5:34) in length and i have about 45 photos to create a slide
show, i created with some transitions and effects and the slide show length
comes to 5 min 57 sec (5:57), so here 33 seconds i don;t have any audio for
my slideshow, i don't want to put any other audio file in to this project,

Importing .avi clips WMM will only open portion of clip.
When importing .avi clips WMM will only open about 1:45 of the clip. Other
players will open the whole clip for viewing. Please somebody, what do I
need to do?

Problem with GIF files
When i upload a GIF file it increase the duration to 24 hours and the fps to
30 which make the GIF play as a freeze frame of 1 frame in the whole file,
does anyone know how i can correct this?...

When editing movies with movie maker, i noticed after a while the
white background color is tiring to the eyes.

Burning my pictures & credits to DVD
Help please. I have spent the entire day trying to work out how to burn my
Windows Movie maker project consisting of pictures, music & some credits etc
to a CD that can be played on the home DVD players. I can burn it to a CD
which plays on my computer but it will not play on the home DVD player.
I have windows XP. Am using Movie Maker 2 and have sonic.
Please help I'm desperate....

Sound that accompanies "Take Picture"
There are two places in my video where I use the "take picture" button to
take a picture of the last frame of a video clip, then add this still after
the video clip. In one instance it works great. In the other, when I play it
back, I cannot get rid of the "click" sound (the one MM makes while capturing
the still) in-between clips. It's driving me crazy!

DVD Player
I created a DVD using Easy media Creator, the DVD plays fine on 2 DVD players
but wont play on others, whether they are old or even brand new. Is there

Muting Video Clips
Hi I am wondering if any1 can help. I have created a project with clips of
videos of my baby. I want to add music to this video but it won't let me
mute each clip. I have tried to delete the music clip and again it is not

Well, after way too much trouble, I've finally gotten to the point where I
found some software that would allow me to reload a Movie Maker file and try
to burn my first DVD. The message comes up & says "Media not Recognized."
Now, I've had my PC for over three years and have burned many CDs, but never
had the occasion to burn a DVD. Yes, it is a DVD - CD combo burner... or at
least it...

I wish that MM would have a normal windows dialog box
when saving the movie file to the computer
so you could see all the other files in the folder

General access error 2
THIS IS PART 2 OF GENERAL ACCESS ERROR FOR MORE INFO READ:"general access

-IE 7 is standard and Mov Maker worked fine untill recently that is (so I
don't think that's the problem)
-I've also seen a report that disabling the

Slightly OT -- Converting WMM files to Flash
Does anyone have any experience in converting Windows Movie Maker 2 output
in WMV format to Flash files? There are several programs on the market that
would appear to do this; their pricing is all over the board, so it is not
like comparing apples to apples.

Preview Not Working
After using Windows Movie Maker successfully for several months, I can no
longer play back any of my projects on the preview screen. When I try to do
this, the timeline in the bottom of the pane jumps immediately to the end of
the project. On a larger project, it will jump in 30 or so second increments
quickly up to the end, without showing anything on the screen. Also,

Importing from Sony MininDV
I have succesfully imported Video from my Sony DCR HC30 mini Dv to MM before.
It was some time ago now and I recall having a little trouble but got there
in the end. I tried again recently but for some reason I cannot do it. I get
a message "class not registered" after passing about the 3rd screen of the

Capture Device Not Found...
Just installed a firewire card and tried MMaker...first time the wizard
appeared, recognized the Sony DV camera and all was going OK. After about 90
seconds the capture stopped even though video tape was still going. Now I
get the "not recognized" message...and had a "no tape in the camera" message
once also??
MMaker froze up also, CADelete didn't help, had to just hit the off button.
