problem burning a dvd
when burning a dvd it will freeze up showing 78% with 75 seconds to go. I
have burn dvds in the past with no problem. This problem has just started
lately. I have left it to finish up to 4 hours with same results. was burning
a 43 minute dvd. any help will be appreciated...

error message: not enough storage
I've used WMM to create several projects and now I'm getting a problem with
it freezing up and the error message "not enought storage to proces this
command" whenever I try to work on my new project. I can't get it to do
anything. I checked and cleared out my temporary storage file and still get
the error message....

Putting a picture in the overlay
I'm making a movie and added a title with the newspaper that rotates
animation and it has a blue box overlay on it. I want to put a picture in
the overlay box. I don't want to see a stupid blue box.. I went to help and
it didn't say anything. Is it possible to make the blue box a picture
instead. Could Microsoft have meant to put a stupid blue box in the middle
of the newspaper? T...

Help please - rescue an old AVI
Hi Folks
I need your help please.
I have an old video - .avi file - which I understand uses a codec
called:-
FOURCC code "CJPG"
I believe that the file "ctwbjpg.dll" contains that codec
In Windows 98, I would have installed it by:-
Copy "ctwbjpg.dll" to "c:\windows\system"
Then add
[drivers32]
VIDC.CJPG=ctwbjpg.dll
to the "system.ini" file

USB Instant VideoMPX Device brings false "Device currently in use
I have been using an ADS "USB Instant VideoMPX Device" to capture video to

Inmediately it closes
I need some of help, when I do someting on Movie Maker, inmediately it
closes, well, when I want to open a document a bit heavy, it closes, when I
want to open a light document and I want to make a title, it closes, when I
want to make a new video, inter 5 and 10 minutes, it closes.

Black Bars at the sides?
I have standard NTSC video - DV format 720 by 480.
For some reason in Moviemaker there are black bars at the side, and
the image is squished - making everyone look thin.
The same thing happens when I play a clip from the same file in Media
player.
Is there a way to change this?

Message when I open a mpg file
I use MM 2.1 for years and I like it. Today I tryed to import a mpg file

Black slides and Preview
My WMM is now showing black slides and a black preview when I open old
projects or even create new ones. the imported video/pictures/audio all seem
to load fine. I can see them in the storyboard view and hear the audio
however the slides I create in moviemaker such as titles etc. show as solid
black in the storyboard. As far as the preview pane it is completely back the
entire time.

Movie Maker Error
Hi,
I've been have a problem in movie maker. Everytime I try to drag a clip
down to the stroyborad to use, the movie maker sends a pop up error message
saying

Preview problems with clips
I've imported a wmv movie in movie maker from a digital movie camera. When I
click a clip in the preview pane it doesn't start but if I put it in the
timeline then it works. Besides, the picture of the clip in the preview pane
is a frame of the previous clip, most of the time. I tried to import the
movie in a notebook and it works very well: thus, it is not a problem of the

No Video during playback - Audio Works
When trying to play a project I'm working on, the screen stays black but the
audio works. I read some other posts and tried converting to .avi. But when I
import the .avi clip I get an error that I don't have the correct codec
installed. However, I can play a .avi file outside of WMM. When I covert my

Cannot burn a DVD
I have a movie I saved to my computer in AVI format. I want to burn this
movie to a DVD disc in DVD format so I can play it on most regular home DVD
players. When I tried to do this with Movie Maker, it took 2 hours to burn it
and when I tried to play the movie on my DVD player, the DVD player showed it

Video Freezing When Capturing
I am having no problems with WMM other than when I am capturing a video from
my Mini DV Camera. The problem is that when I am capturing, it will work
fine for a little while - it is a random amount of time - and then it will
just freeze out of the blue. I have had nothing wrong with this program
otherwise, but I also just want to point out that I have no filters or

Does not insert photo's or audio into timeline / storyboard
Whenever I try to drag photo's or audio onto the storyboard/timeline, it just

Movie Maker
Well i have been using movie maker fine untill about a couple of weeks ago
when i went to go add some pictures and songs but it did not accept it so i
changed the format and it still did not work and ive reinstalled movie maker.
It does not except any picture format or any song format it wont take
anything and sometimes when i restart movie maker a picture will pop up like

Analog Video to AVI format
I routinely import Mini-DV from my camera to Movie Maker as .avi files
and then transfer the modified movie back to the camera. I then dump
the result directly to my DVD recorder---(much quicker than burning on
the computer). I would like to do the same thing with some of my
older Hi-8 video tapes but MM doesn't seem to give me the option
importing analog video as .avi files---only as Window...

Windows DVD Maker
I can burn a movie I have made with still pictures but I can not burn a movie
I make from video clips. Windows DVD Make comes up with the message "Windows
DVD Maker has stopped working. I have saved it just like I did with the still
pictures with the same file extension MSWMM.
I am using Vista Ultimate.

MPEG-2 to Moviemaker: Recommended Intermediate Format?
I have a bunch of MPEG-2 files that I'd like to edit in Moviemaker.
Some are from DVD, others are from my JVC Everio Camcorder, which
records in that format.
I know that DIVX and XVID both work in moviemaker, and of course
WMV.
Anyone know of a free converter from MPEG-2 to any of the three above?
