HELP : Intel pro 10/100 VE network card problem !
Hello,
I have a detection problem with a intel pro 10/100 VE network card under
Windows XP Embedded SP2.
1 - After FBA phases, the card is correctly detected (appears in the Device
Manager and there are not conflicts), but settings (IP with DHCP) are not
configured automatically. I have tried to used the script Dhcpsettings.vbs
(WMI) that i downloaded on the Microsoft site.

autostart application using MinLogon
Hi,
Is it possible to autostart an application using MinLogon?
There is a dependency from explorer shell to windows logon (standard),
so "Startup" folder can't be used anymore, it seems.
This means, when using MinLogon, a custom shell has to be created to
autolaunch a program?

Simple question!
Apologies for what may be a possibly idiotic question but I'm not familiar
with XPE.
We have a situation where we want to provide a PC to the public for browsing
the Internet. Even the smallest desktop is too big for the space so I'm
wondering if there is any reason why we can't use a thin client running XPE
and just use IE that comes with it?

Missing Engine DLL for Element IDIFF-Input (Image Diff Engine)
When I run Ida.exe an error occurred: Missing DLL for Element IDIFF-Input.
I'm not sure what DLL its referring to, I've tried the DLL files included in
the package but still the error occurs. Can anybody help? maybe You've
encountered this kind of error....thanks....

Remote Desktop "Windows Security" item does nothing - why?
I have built a target device that I need to be able to connect to by
Remote Desktop. The connection work fine, but the "Windows Security"
item does nothing when I click on it - neither Task Manager nor the
Windows Security dialog.
I have another target image with "Windows XP Explorer User Interface"
and "Shell Application Compatibility" components, and the "Windows
Security" item works in...

Device Update Agent startup
The DUAgent doesn't start up on my image. When I try to start it using 'net
start' it reports logon failure 1069. It is configured to run as
Administrator and is polling a local drive.

VPN connection returns error 619.
Hello!
I have a problem while trying to establish a VPN connection (error
619).
I'm using SP2 with FP2007 and I'm sure I included all the components
needed. The firewall is off and I'm sure the modem works fine (the VPN
works using the same PC with the same modem and an hard disk with
XPPro). The previous images I built using SP1 worked fine so I believe

Linking other comps' to your comp
I made a component for my wecam. Upon testing I discovered that there were
two windows system files missing that were needed.
These being :
vidcap.ax
msh263.drv
I added those to my config and rebuilt. Worked a charm.
My question is:
Should I tie those two components as being dependencies in my SLD?
or
Make a macro component that brings in those two mini components? ( Keeping...

Start and Stop controls for non-PnP driver
My drivers are non-plug-and-play. So, where do I find the Start and Stop
buttons?
In my image, I included the component called "Generic Device Driver Support"
and in the settings turned on the check box for non-plug and play devices. I
also turned on context menus under the Core User Interface.

Can't move for FBA Errors Like "RegSetKeySecurity Failed!"
I thought I would try my luck doing the Dual-Boot thing. Took a while but I
got it all going. Trouble is my FBA Log is showing weird errors. Lots of
lines that are not showing Error Code (0x0).

Windows Firewall/ICS service
I am having a hard time disabling the windows firewall/ICS service. Noticed
other posts mentioning the same issue, but have yet to see a solution that
works for me. To recap, even when not including windows firewall/ICS and the
firewall controll components, the service is still running once the image

Performance objects
Hello,
I added the "Base performance counter" component in my XPe image but when I
go into "Performance Logs and Alerts" snap'in and try to add an alert, some
Performance objects are missing. I'm interessed in the "Memory" one but
"Processor", "System", "Cache", "Objects" and paging file are missing too.
How can I access to those performance objects??

About different shells for different users
Hi everybody
I have a little problem with my image. I have two different shells one for
the administrator ( an explorer shell ) and other for the user that is an
application (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms838576.aspx). It
works fine but the problem is that I have a bluetooth adapter that works fine
in the administrator shell ( explorer shell) but it doesn't work in the user...
