If I have a web link (a url) in an Ms App (eg Word, Excel) then on clicking the link to access the web page the Ms app automatically minimises. Thus I have to click the app button on the task bar to see it again. I don't want this (when I was running win 2k this didn't happen! Custom startup sound
Hi: I want to play a custom .wav file of any length or size at startup. Currently I've encountered two problems. 1. Substituting my .wav file for the Windows start sound, XP truncates playback at less than 5 seconds. 2. Taskbar colors change after restart.
Running Windows XP SP2. Have set everything in Display Properties for 'Windows Classic style',' Windows Standard', etc.. Click Apply/ OK, colors and display changes to the options I checked. Ctrl-Alt-Del password change
Is there a way to get to the Ctrl-Alt-Del password change mechanism if you have the Welcome Screen enabled? I end up in Windows Task Manager. C Drive Icon
I have lost the Icon for my C Drive, I can still see the drive and everything works ok but the yellow folder icon will not show.
