RealPlayer
Folks:
I recently installed realPlayer on my WindowsXP system then I decided to
test it all out by playing a VOB file.
The results turned out to be mixed. The AUDIO was excellent but the VIDEO
kept flickering on/off and sometimes there was a bit of image distortion on
the screen. At other times everything is perfect, but only momentarily. This
state of affairs prevents me from gaabbing...

Remove files from windows installer directory
Hi
I have a heck of a lot of stuff on my notebook but it only has 80gig of HDD,
12 gig of which is reserved for the HP backup thingy.
I noticed that the windows\installer folder has more than 0.5 gig of stuff
there and I would like to clean some things off my computer. Is it OK to
delete these things - I did a test run - and some of my icons disappeared.
What is safe to delete and ...

However, my other DVDRW, has mysteriously acquired the name 'SD PHOTOS'
that I previously gave to a USB removable storage device and is always

Req; Good manual for learning XP.
Can anyone recommend a decent book for learning XP? The only thing I
could find locally was "Windows XP for Dummies" by Woody Leonhard. I
guess it serves a need but it you remove all the extraneous corny
jokes and wisecracks there isn't much left in the way of reference
material.
For example: I can't remember how to boot in safe mode. But the
dummies book does not have an index entry fo...
