Touchpad Controls
The laptop I'm using has a Synaptics Touchpad that I need to constantly
readjust because it periodically returns to the original settings. It
especially seems like I'm always readjusting the "Enable Tapping" and "Touch
Sensitivity" controls. Is there a way to set them once and make them
permanent? I've been making the adjustments from the Mouse icon in the
Control Panel.

XP Add Remove Programs Utility
Hi
I removed a program using the "uninstall" option for the program. I did this
rather than use the subject because there was an issue when I tried to do
this. I also cleaned up any traces of the removed program from my computer
(empty folders etc.). However, when I returned to the subject I noticed that
the program appeared there. When I tried to remove it I got an error message:

CD image files created by RecordNow!
My Compaq Presario laptop was destroyed by lightning, and now I have a
Gateway laptop. I copied files from my old computer's hard drive to my
new computer, but I don't know what to do about some CD image files
which have HP/Compaq's "RecordNow!" format with the ".gi" file extension.
I discovered IsoBuster, which looks as if it might work, but it's not free.
I tried changing the file exte...

Saturation slider left and right, but there's no change in the
saturation on the screen.
I checked various other similar windows, but I'm still flummoxed....

Registry Repair Programmes
Our office PCs run very slow. I have seen a programme called XP Medic but
couldn't find out much about it and it is not on any site I know enough to
trust. Is there a programme for XP (and it's technologically challenged
users) to easily correct the registry to optimise the running. I have done
the basics like defragging, disk cleaning and spyware programmes. Any
suggestions?...

Computer Starting to Slowdown?!?
My computer is approximately 2 months old and now has just recently
started to slow down after 3-4 hrs of use after each bootup. I have
scanned for viruses, malware/spyware, uninstalled unecessary programs,
defragmentized the hard drive, run diskcheck and cleared cookies and
temporary files from Internet Explorer. After a few hrs the system
slows down substantially thus making it difficult to...

Drive letters changing themselves?
Two optical drives, changed them to Y & Z and a secondary SATA drive, two
partitions set as W & X
OK for a long time but now the optical drives have reverted to G & H and the
partitions on HDD to I & J. D, E & F used for another HDD.
Why is this happening and how can I stop it happening again if I re-assign
drive letters?
Replies appreciated.

Reinstall LEGAL Win XP, but no disk
I need to reinstall Windows Xp Home on my Dell computer, but for the life of
me I can't find the disk.
I have heard that I can use any XP disk, so long as I use the registration

Is this true? If so, does it have to be an XP Home disk or can it be any XP
Disk?
And will it hurt anything if I don't load all the extra Dell ...
