Video Mixer / Switching Programs
I've been testing DV Mixer Pro to use when I'm encoding videos for a
webcast.
Are there other products out there like this?
I'm looking for a program that allows for switching between files or
sources with transitions, watermarking, etc.

Authentication
I'd like to authenticate member who connect to Media Server by user list
table which is stored in MS SQL Server 2005.
How can I do it?

Monitoring "push" stream from Windows Media Encoder to Windows Media Server
Is there a way to log the streams coming from a Win Media Encoder doing a
"Push" live stream to a Windows Media Server? I have several encoders on
different machines providing streams to the server (for redistribution).
I'd like to be able to report on the availability of each of the originating
streams. It seems the logging that is done by the server only reflects the
activity going ...

Can WMS encode on-the-fly?
Is it possible to get WMS to encode files on the fly as they're being
served, like many other media broadcasting softwares out there (like
Shoutcast)?
I've got 30GB of MP3s on my Windows Server I want to stream with WMS, and
whilst I can stream them, unaltered, through simple Broadcast and On-demand
Publishing Points, there isn't much documentation on what I'm after.

Authorization plug-ins interaction
When I enable the WMS Publishing Points ACL Authorization (server or
publishing point level) then authorization is no longer evaluated by the WMS
NTFS ACL Authorization plug-in. In this case only administrators are granted
access by the PP plug-in and other users assigned NTFS permissions directly
to the files.
When I disable the PP Authorization plug-in then NTFS rights are evaluated

Windows Media Server
I have a web server that I host my website. I setup a Windows Media Server on
another server. I embedded the streaming video on my web page. When I open
the site in the office, I can see the streaming video. But when I am not
connected to our local network the video does no appear but the Windows Media
Player appears. How do I setup the WMS to be accessible outside our network.

Anonymous User Authentication
Hi,
I'm having problems getting the Anonymous User authentication system to
work.
WMS adds an AD User named "WMUS_SERVER" to the "Users" directory of my
Active Directory ("SERVER" is the machine's name, I'm not very creative)
The "WMS Anonymous User Authentication" plugin has always been disabled and
causing the server Critical Errors. The server works fine (for the most

I am researching a pay-per-view plugin and couldn't find a solution in the
server SDK.
The requirement:
1. authorize a player to watch a movie.
2. dictate how long the player can watch based on the money lefted on the
account.
The first one can be easily done by using a custom authorization plugin.
But I couldn't find the solution for the second one. It seems wms don't

Embedding question.....
Ok, I have created a webpage with an embedded media player to play a live,
multicast broadcast. It works great on Windows with IE6, IE7, Opera, and
