Help! (Repeat Post) Possible to bypass security for Windows Media files?
Hi All,
I am posting this for the second time, and would really appreciate

www.mydomain.com/123.wmv) using WMS. I also have an IIS server with
HTML that points to some of these Windows Media Files. The HTML file
"embeds" the video in the web page.
Now, only logged in users are supposed to see these Windo...

Slow Terminal Services Office 2003
We have a performance problem on our Windows Server 2003 with Terminal
Services.
When using Office XP in a terminal session, all is working fine and fast.
When using Office 2003 in a terminal session it is really performing badly.
Users have to wait seconds before Word displays what they type or do.
Does anyone know what is the cause of this performance issue?
I already tried the reg...

all of that is getting passed to Media Player properly, but I don't

Push encoding username password?
I'm brand new to WMS. I would like to use the Push method for my encoders.
How do I create a username/password and implement it? I want to give the
username/pass to our djs so they can each broadcast to our server (not at the
same time) from their own location (so I dont have to deal with their IP
addresses, most of which are dynamic).
Thanks for any help!

How to stop auto creation of publishing points.
Is it possible to NOT let the server create new publishing points that
dont already exist in the list of points?
If an encoder calls a pub point aaa1, WMS will auto create the aaa1
and I do not want that happening.
I only want encoders allowed to use pubpoints for broadcasting that
are already set up ahead of time.
Does this make sense ?

Capacity Planning / Hardware limits
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to determine the hardware requirements for a large scale
streaming buildout. The goal is "up to" 30,000 concurrent viewers, with
about 200 live events per month. Up to 5 events could be 'live'
simultaneously. Thanks greatly for any info provided!
1) Is it typical to build out a 'cache farm' that users connect to (i.e.
having the cache servers broadcasting ...

Preventing other encoders from streaming to Win Media Server
Can anyone help me configure my Win media Server to only allow streams from a
single encoder? I specify the "Source" as Push:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and I can
stream to the server from any encoder I wish. Am I overlooking something
here?
I have also tried using the allow or deny lists under authorization to no
avail. Again, am I missing something?...

encode it at 300. Just curious if I can limit the bitrates on t...
