How do I grab a still .jpg image from a live Windows Media Encoder broadcast?
I have been searching high and low for an answer, with no luck thus
far....
I have a custom VB.Net application that currently broadcasts live
video using windows media encoder.
I would like to be able to grab, snag, capture (whatever you want to
call it) a still .JPG image (frame) from the .WMV stream.... I
understand that WMV is a video 'stream' which does not really have
'frames' of vide...

jerky images
So we've got some fairly powerful machines on both the encoding and the
server sides (my encoder never goes above 18% CPU usage) and everyone who
connects to our internet webcasts say that the sound is great, but the
picture is jerky, or freezes frequently. Some of them can refresh their WMV
player and video will be fine for 1 or 2 minutes and then freeze again.

recommended camera for encoder?
Hi,
Instead of using an analogue camera, and then a capture card like the Osprey

better result.
Can anyone recommend a camera for the encoder? I am looking for one that
will capture a meeting room, as opposed to a web cam designed for more
individual face capture.
I would be looking for a quality pic, to be us...

Cannot Install WM Encoder, Extracting File Failed
When I try to install WM Encoder 9 I receive a message, "Extracting file

Over half my hard drive is free space. I've restarted Windows. I've even

splitting output files
Hi all,
Is there a way of splitting output (based on time or size) better than File
Editor?
I'm looking for either
1) standalone post-encoding solution, that would allow to choose a few cut
points, automatically adjust to the nearest key frame, and split the file, or
2) a hint how to achieve the same during encoding (I use a custom automation

Need a prx that contains Vista's Windows Movie Maker settings

audio bit rate. When I use that in the batch Windows Media Encoder tool
