WMV file manipulations
How can I merge several small WMV files into one large WMV file? Alternately
how can I split a large WMV into several small WMVs, all of which are
readable on their own?

media player 11 does not work with media center
Windows Media Player 11 Crashes whenever I try to use the media sharing
feature. I have installed and reinstalled it over the past few months. I
thought eventually it would be fixed. Is there s setting I need to change.
Is Media Player 11 not supposed to be able to work with Windows XP Media
Center Edition?

No help and support
Neither F1 nor the pull down menus provide "help" in my windows xp SP2
platform. You can have the office assistant on top, but the bubble with the
answers is completely blank.
Any idea how I can get them back? I never realized how often I use the help
menus ...

Problems with burning
When I originally installed MP11 I didn't have any problems burning my LP’s
that I've burned to my computer. But recently the program will no longer burn
my LP recorded music to a CD. It is asking for a license and doesn’t even
recognize the songs size (puts a x in front of it). But I don't have any
problems playing them. Do I need to get rid of Media Play 11 and install an

DVD-ROM won't play DVD movie on WMP 11
Computer, IBM Laptop A31 with DVD-ROM.
DVD-ROM won't play DVD movies.
Initially it wouldn't play because I had no decoder installed. I purchased a
Roxio decoder via a link on the WMP help site. It sill won't play. I tried to
download the latest version of WMP V10, but ended up getting V11. The player

List Pane Color Change?
i'm trying to figure out a way to change the background color of the list
pane to black instead of.. well whatever it is now, it seems to me that its
some sort of fading color so there must be some source somewhere, but i've

DMR Download problem.
hey there guys i have a big problem. i have this Armin ban Buuren WMA Files
that require a License to be played. so the Windows media player 11 open up a
page that said "Download the license" and then said "Your machine now can use

Latest added songs (material)

my mediaplayer is in norwegian so I don't know exactly what this menu entry
is called in english, but when I am in the library section I can choose from
different search options if I want to sort my media files on album, artist or

Inability to Change Ratings
I am currently using windows media player 11, running on xp.
I cannot change any of my ratings, either through clicking the stars, or
through right clicking and selecting the rating. I find this quite strange
has I haven't done anything recently that I can account to for this change.

When I try to play mpeg files in Media player, explorer crashes.
I can play mpegs in Qtime by right click selecting play with...
I only have this problem with mpeg files and explorer states: error and
freezes.
The problem seems to be related to oxc 0000005 but I don't know what this is.
Can anyone help me please?

Problems downloadig Licenses
heys hey there guys i have this problem:

Uninstalled WMP from XP then unable to install it again
Hello, I've got into troubbles.
Some times ago, I uninstalled WMP 10. I not only got rid of the upgrade (in
Control Panel\Applications Install\Show upgrades) but in Windows Components
Installation (Control Panel\Applications Install\Windows Components) I also
unchecked the box next to WMP.
Something went wrong I suppose because the PC stopped answering to any
command and I had to manuall...

Recording onto Lightscribe CD-R
I recently started using Windows Media Player 11 to create CDs's and there
seems to be a problem with writing them to Lightscribe CD's. The error that
comes up, it states that the CD is not blank and to insert a blank CD. The
CD's that I insert are blank. I also tried it on several of them but it
worked on CD-RW CD's.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a fix that anyone...

Verizon Wireless XV6700 sync to storage card
I can’t see my 1g storage card on my Verizon Wireless XV6700 when I want to
sync music using WMP 11.0 it only shows me the main memory. I even tried
deleting the files that I read about in another thread but that didn't work
either. I can go into my computer and manually copy older songs with no
license to the storage card. Does anyone have any suggestions?
