Media Player History/ Jump Drive
I have these files in media player history that come from the "F" drive
which I do not have.. They seem a bit Adult in nature but before I ask my son
or god forbid my daughter is there a way to view these files... When I click
on them it just states that it has been moved or is no longer there....

.dat files in the library
I have copied music videos from a VCD (.dat file) onto my hardrive, and
worked out how to play them in Windows media player, so why doesn't it let me
add them into the library?
I am using windows media player 11 with windows vista home basic...

DRM ActiveX Network Object crushes IE7
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
These days I have been faced IE7 crushing issue when I tried to watch videos
placed at a stream broadcasting site.
And I have been do things that may fix it, like re-install IE7 and Windows
Media Player 11, resetting IE7 settings, apply Windows Update, and so on.
At present I tried to renew the DRM licenses through the way
written as KB925705....

Error C00D11DA
I downloaded some songs from Wal*Mart.com and now they won't play. I've had
this same problem before, but I used some link to fix it. Now, I can't find
the same thread. Can someone help me? The error code is C00D11DA and it says
that there was a problem verifying the license. Any suggestions?...

Find Album Info is almost broken
After years of using winamp ad my primary media player i switched to wmp11
when it was released because its library is just great.
BUT, it looks like the "find album" feature has just been changed and it

Cannot start Windows Media Player
I just got the update for Windows Media Player 11 and was wondering if it
would play .RAR files and also when i try to start the program it keeps

viewpoint media player
i have an icon for Viewpoint Media Player in my control Panel.
i do not remember downloading this. i have a Dell (about 4 years old)
running WinXP.
when i open it , it asks if i want to update it. i have tried to goodle
it,without much success.
can anyone explain what this is and what i should do with it. Leave it
alone? or update it or get rid of it???

Setup and Design
I am just now entering the Digital Media age....so I have a basic question
about setup. If I want to play music from my Vista PC (Ultimate or Home), it
seems I have several options to connect this to my home audio system. I
could connect through a wireless media server or hub, or through a Sonos like

2 hard drives
I have two hard drives with music on them. I am in the process of moving all
the music to the second harddrive. If I add the second hard drive file with
the music to the libary, will it read them from the second hard drive. Or
will it move them all back to the main hard drive....

Lost in WMP's slider
I am a programmer.Now I am doing a project using WMP to replay *.wav file
in webpage.I found that if the *.wav file I set to the URL parameter is a
local file or a file within local area network, when I replay it for the
first time,the slider doesn't move correctly.At the beginning it moves
just a little,after that immediately returns to the startpoint leaving the

Windows Media no more sound
Hi,
I am running Win XP Pro and a few days ago somehow it seems that Windows
Media got messed up. A lot of live streams will not play with audio, the same
with a few WMV files. Unfortunately I am unable to figure out what exactly
caused this change in behavior as the same files/streams were working just
fine not too long ago.

Error on renaming songs/album
I am trying to rename songs/album info for albums that are shown as "unknown
album." I've tried to highlight, edit, etc but now it shows an error of
C00D1197 but does not tell me how to fix it! And now I can't delete the
album/songs or play them.
I'm really lost.
I don't know what version of media player I have but my laptop is brand new
with Vista so I assume it's 10 or 11....

WMP WILL NOT PLAY SOUND FROM MY DIGITAL CAMERA(vista)
(VISTA)When i play the short video clips from my digital camera there is no
sound.
It will play sound from other videos downloaded and from other cameras.
The sound is on the video i can hear it on the camera and on other computers.
My speakers are not muted.

Windows Media player 11
I downloaded this on my computer and when I try to play a song it says that I
have a License Acquistition and to click play. This brings me to
NetFreeMovies and it seems I have to sign up and PAY FOR this in order to use
Windows Media Player. I don't want this service. I already have a download
program that I bought. Windows media didn't used to be like this. I am

Converting wav files without losing tag (RIFF) media information
My cd collection was ripped to my pc (xp media center edition - sp2) in wav
format. WMP 11 recognized and catalogued all of the media information for
the 500 cds that were ripped, including album art. I want to convert the
files to mp3. When I do the conversion, the media information is lost other
than the file name. I converted twice, once using the audio converter in WMP

Images from .wmv
Hi Group,
I've downloaded a .wmv file that is a series of still images that
appear like a fast powerpoint presentation. I have no idea whether
they are a powerpoint presentation or some other application.
Is there any way to capture or extract those images from the .wmv file
and save them to my hardrive?

Video files display in smaller size
When I play .avi files on my Windows Vista Media Player, the videos are being
played in smaller size that what they used to be played. The problem start
after I tried to run a .AVI file in Quicktime and my computer freezed. I

media player 11 sound and picture out of sync
Hi
Im using windows media player 11 combined with windows XP SP 2.
Sometimes when i try to watch avi files or other movie files, the sound and
the picture is out of sync ie the sound goes faster than the picture.

Large User Profile in Windows XP
The User Profiles sheet (from System Properties) shows the three user
profiles and the guest profile I have on my Windows XP Home computer. I am
the main (and heavy) user and the size is 425MB. My wife is an infrequent
user but her size is 1.65GB. What does this size mean? I have reduced her IE
settings to 50MB and 7 days. System Restore is down to 5% and the Recycle Bin
is at 10%....
