Plug-ins disappear on both my computers
WMP 11 Plug-ins (specifically DFX audio enhancement and Last FM) constantly
unset themselves and need to be reset on both my computers.
Anyone else had this or know what's happening?
I have searched for answers on this but seen nothing.

SERVER CRASHED; PURCHASED MUSIC GONE
Hi..our server crashed a few weeks ago and I lost all the music I purchase
throught the Windows media player.....and now it shows Napster as the
provider...but that is not who I purchased through.
Does anyone remember who the provider was say 6 months ago?

Acquiring music license in Windows Media Player
I purchased some songs from Walmart.com last year and now they won't play in
version 10 of my Windows Media Player. When I hit "play" it tries to acquire
the license but the screen says "the page cannot be displayed, open
musiclicenses.liquiddigitalmedia.com, etc" Anyone know what I can do?...

Can I specify pixel dimensions for Windows Media Player's size?
Can I specify pixel dimensions for Windows Media Player's size?
I need to view an .avi at it's original size, not at the size that Windows
Media Player "thinks" I should have it at for "best display." When it does
that, it's ally friggin' blurry and stuff. It's painful. I need it to stop
thinking for me and for me to input the pixel dimensions myself.

Maximum number of songs
Hello.
I wonder if anyone can answer my question. How many songs can WMP deal with?
I have about 24.000 songs and suddenly I can't update additional album-info
from Internet when I add new songs. It doesn't even try to get online. I have
WMP 11 (Swedish). My Zone Alarm firewall is of course allowing WMP to get
outside but it doesen't do that. I have tried to alter the settings in the

Lost all Star Ratings; on WMP 10.0
I have lost all my star ratings....shazam they just faded to light blue
stars. ?? anyone know what causes yellow-ratings to vanish or how they're
restored. I have 6,500 songs; each was rated. They've been there for a long
time, but when I turn on the system today....nutt'en.

Stuck in skin.. virus?
I downloaded a skin for windows media player 9 (i have winME)... it makes the
player super super tiny, and i can find no way to get it back. there are no
option buttons or anything, just play, pause, stop, ff, and rew. i tried
re/downloading MP9, then i tried deleting the skin folder (the new skin was

Audio sporadically not functioning
Hello
the media player refuses to play the AUDIO of certain streams (PBS and MSNBC
to name a few).
It works fine with pure audio like streaming from a radio station. Any

DVD Burn/ w pics and videos
I am stationed in Korea and want to make a DVD + I burn/copy to send home to
family of thins here in Korea. I selected the files and folders I wanted to
burn and clicked BURN from the taskbar. I am using Windows Vista Business.
On the DVD + I I can see the burn portion, but my recipient says the only
file he can open is the notepad file. He is using a older version of windows

Auto Scan for Content
When I reboot my computer Windows Media Player automatically scans my drives
for content........I want to disable this feature, any suggestions are

library locatios
I have Windows Media 11 and Widows media Player 10 on PPC. I have found that
11 synchronises to a folder called 'Music' and Windows Media Player reads the
library file from a folder called 'My Music' on the PPC. I seem not to be
able to change the default locations to either get 11 to synch to 'My Music'
or to get Media Player to read from 'Music'.

White lines in WMP10
Hi there
Recently a selection of songs (maybe 200 or so) within WMP10 are "whited
out". I can still play the songs. I haven't been doing anything different
recently - all normal things like transferring music to MP3 player etc.
Anyone got any suggestions why this happened and how to fix it? ...

Access Violation Error from SetProfileByID(....)(in WMVCORE.DLL)

Playlist order...HELP!!!
Why is it that once I sync a playlist to my MP3 player the order of the list
changes??? I specifically put a list together with a certain order in mind
but every time I put it on the device it changes around!! I am so
Frustrated!! This never happened before the upgrade of media player.......

continuity
.... the last edition of WMP does not seem to have the capacity to continue at
the same point in a playlist.
not to belabor the point, but to be clear:
gather up a number of videos from the 'file-open' part of the menu
they play, one after another.
Before, I could close the player, open it again, and it would begin with
whatever video was playing when I closed it.

problem with streaming
im trying to conect to a streaming radio station that uses an asx link. when
it loads it keeps playing they same clip from like 2 weeks ago... i have
tried cleaning the cache and temp files and it still plays the same clip. i
can go to any other site with a radio station and there stuff will play just
fine. its just this one site i have contacted the site admin and he has no
problems... ...

cannot play files on allmusicguide.com - ....plus other probs?
it is a popular site. using MP 9 I got network error messages. now it just
says "cannot play" but does not specify the error and there is a button
called web help that goes nowhere when it is clicked on.
any ideas why MP 9 and 11 will not play files on allmusic.com?
sometimes when I click the MP icon it will not open or load. just sits there
looking pretty and giving nothing.

Converting mp3 file format to a WMA format using Windows Media 10
I khave some music files on my computer that are saved in mp3 format. I want
to convert these files to WMA type files using Windows Media 10. Can this be
done with Windows Media 10? If so, please supply instructions, step by step.
