MP3 player error messages
I just got a Sansa m230 MP3 player. I have Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack
2. I am really dumb with this stuff. I think I messed something up when
adding songs. All of a sudden I am getting 2 different error messages.
1. Error: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit
or an application request.
2. Error: The specified property ID is not supported for the specif...

WMP Problem
Ok, I installed WMP-11 on an XP machine running SP2 - but when ever WMP opens
it only displays in a small windows, with very limited features. I can't
install skins, and the look doesn't have the polished look of WMP 11. I try
to switch between full or small (or what ever it's called) mode and it
doesn't work. Any ideas?...

Re-Individualizing on Win XP Home
Hello,
I am using WMP 10 on WinXP Home, connected to the corporate LAN.
I deleted the DRM folder, tried to play protected content thereby initiating
the individualization process. However the process fails with a "The
connection was reset" message.
I'm not sure what might be causing this. Can anyone please advise?

Unable to play MPG files?
Hi there people,
I have some problems after updating to WMP11, ever since that, I was unable
to play any mpg files. I can hear the sound but no visuals. I have then
reverted back to WMP9 but that did not resolve the issue as well.
Anyone has encountered a similar issue before?

Windows media palyer 11 crashes after installation
i have tried installing windows media player 11 4 times but everytime i
install it and and try to get it to start up it just crashes the whole pc. i
thought maybe it had something to do with the urge service by choosing a
different service but that doesnt help. i dont have nero installed on my pc.
could someone please help cuz i really like this player ...

how to stop playing file after file in playlist
Cannot find the option "play once" for playlist.
On my old XP installation was Media Player 9. Before, it was something like
play once option. I upgrade now to v.10
I need to stop playing after each tune but it plays non stop.
Please point me to right menu.

Print catalog of music
Vista Ultimate.
Is there any way to print or export my catalog of music? I'd like a
hardcopy, sorted by album or artist, like what I can see in media player.

WMP11 messed up AVI file playback - is there a fix??
Since I upgraded to WMP11, AVI. files old and new from various devices will
not play with audio and video in synch. WMP10 played these files fine, old
and new, all device sources. Now I see Windows Movie Movie Maker has the
same issue now.
Quicktime plays all of these files just fine!! I have not installed any
audio or video software besides the WMP upgrade.
I don't get an error, ...

Installing Codecs in WMP 11?????
In previous WMP versions, there is an "ADD" button on the plug-in page, not
so in wmp 11. How on earth am I supposed to install VobSub & Haali splitter
to run certain multi-language .mkv files? I'm currently working around that
with MP Classic, but I already associated .mkv with WMP since most are not
encoded the way I've just described.

WM 11 streaming video playback problems
i have tried multiple sites streaming with WM 11 and all are the same
problems. I have audio but the video looks like a colored bar graph. I have
tried different sites on different days. I am running xp with updates and

After update KB931768 i have been getting a greenish screen in the embedded

connecting laptop to my TV
I've connected my laptop to my LCD TV with a VGA cable. I right clciked on
my desktop, went to settings and clicked on 2nd monitor. I get my screensave
showing on my TV but cant get anything else. No mouse, no icons, no photos.
Just my darn screensave. I'm using a compaq X1000 with windows XP home
edition and an LG LCD TV. Any ideas on why it wont work?????

Another WMA 10 Pro Ripping Program?
I once used a freeware program that had the ability to rip CDs to WMA 10 Pro.
I was impressed that it could beyond 24-bit and up to 440 KHz (way beyond WMP
11)! It even had options for WMA 10 VBR. However, I can't seem to find the
program after doing about 4 hrs of Google searches.
Anyone knows what this program is? I have a few files that were ripped using

WMP errors with embedded video streams
I have WMP running on a Vista ultimate.
WMP is generating a C00D11B1 error code when embedded in a web page
and opening the stream. However if I open the same file with WMP
manually it works fine.
I have already checked the proxy settings in WMP and made sure all of
my drivers are up to date.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Previewing sings on Amazon using WMP
When I try to use the WMP preview links for songs on any given album I choose
on Amazon, it goes to buffer it and load it but doesn't play. Is it a problem
on their end or mine? Also, has anyone else encountered/does anyone encounter
this problem when previewing songs for any given album on Amazon?

Error code: C00D11B1 when playing downloaded videos
I have been recieving the Error code: C00D11B1 when playing download videos.
This has persisted for quite some time. I have been using VLAN Player, but I
would rather use WMP.
I have checked my sound driver softwares, and they are all up to date.
quartz.dll is NOT missing from my Directx files.
I have tried downloading codecs, but they do not work either.
Is there anyway to fix this?...

Album Art column missing
I suddenly noticed on my laptop that when I call up Library entries in
Windows MEDIA PLAYER (11), the column representing ALBUM ART (towards the
left hand side of the screen- the first column) is not being displayed - it
used to however. When I check out "Choose Columns", it lists ALBUM ART as

It closes if I try to play anything in any format and if I go to a web page

problems with the library in media player 11
easiest solution and one that has now worked for me: uninstall wmp11, let it
rollback to wmp10 and no more problem - suddenly you can play ALL your music
again. And let's face it - it's much easier to use. Not only is ALL my music
back in my library but now I have the 'all music' function back without
stupid subheadings, nicley listed.

PLZ HELP "COOD1199"
I keep getting this message that says, "The player might not support the file
tupe or might not support the codev that was used to compress the file." I've
already downloaded Xvid and that solved some of the problems but iI still get
the message quite often. I have WMP 11 for vista. If any one can help me

Printing playlists in Media Player 11
In searching for an answer I found a reference to a "Media Info Exporter
PowerToy" but I can not find out what this is. Somehow it seems as though it
must be possible to print a playlist from Media Player 11. I did see a
question in this forum relative to using a media player 9 tool, but the
replies do not indicat that is a fruitful route. Any help would be greatly
appreciated....
