Lost manually added firewall exceptions
I have added an FTP server to my Vista computer, and I added program and
port to firewall exceptions manually.
Today, I putted my system to Halt (sleep) and now when it resumed I
discovered that my FTP server was no longer listening. And it was
completely removed from the exception list.

Import Certificate Problem
When I tried to import a certificate the "trusted root certificate
authorities" doesn't appear in the wizard. Any idea why ?
Whereas when I try user CERTMGR.MSC, it appears there and when I try the
import certificate option I get an error message " The import failed because
the store was ready only, the store was full or the store did not open
correctly" Any idea?

Firewall rule created, but firewall drops
Hello everyone,
I have a Dell Notebook from work with Vista (it's in a domain and firewall
settings are configured by group policy).
At home I have a XP SP2 machine.
I'm able to connect with Vista to XP. I tried everything I know, but it
doesn't work from XP to Vista.
If I try by UNC or IP I always get "Network Path was not found"
On Vista machine, the private profile is active at...

Security Problem...
Hi;
With Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2, I have next trouble...
I lost a user's profile, and delete it for rebuild it. But after this can´t open files .zip from
network sites or download this files type from internet. Show the message

Access to Terminal Via Remote Destop at Windows Vista
In Vista plateform, I discovered that my username is registering in my
register Key at HKCU and somehow someone could exploit this information too
easy by collect these registres with all specified detail into this server.

Joost
I applied to beta test Joost when I had Windows XP. Finally got the email to
set this up but I have VISTA now. Does anyone know anything about Joost? Not
sure if it's safe to install or not....

installed NIS 2007 on vista laptop, now I cannot connect to the internet
when I uninstall nis2007, I'm fine. reinstall, and I cannot access the
internet again. I cannot find any settings. Once the laptop does the
post-NIS2007 live update (from the trial that came with the new
laptop) then I cannot access the internet. Has anyone else experienced
this>

Java Programming Problem
I have administration privilages on my computer but when ever I try to save a
java file off of NotePad into my C:\ drive or any of their sub folders except
my documents, I get a message box saying I dont have permission to save the
file in that place and to contact my administrator. I just got vista so I
don't know much about how to work it yet....

PDH library can not be accessed through Vista 64 bit .
Hi ,
I was trying to get processor related information through PDH
library . This works well on all platform but in Vista 64 bit , I have

Unable to create an Event Log entry
