Need some help with Vista Ultimate...please look
I am running Vista Ultimate x64 and all has been running fine. Last night I
was doing some system clean up and after one of the reboots when I went into
"Administrator Tools" the only thing there is the following:
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards
That's it! There should be more and I confirmed as such on my Vista
Enterprise laptop. Anybod...

PC won't sleep auto; but will when I hit vista power button
Sleep works great when I initiate, but it won't drop into sleep
after an hour on it's own. The monitor will turn off after 20
minutes, however. I am using a desktop PC with the balanced power
plan.

Wacom table and sleep problem
After a full start of my system, my Wacom tablet works correctly and I can
use the pen like a pen.
If I put the computer to sleep and then wake it up, the pen is no longer
recognized as a pen and it thinks its a mouse - if I unplug the tablet and
plug it back in again, then it resumes working correctly ...
How can I get it to work correctly after going to sleep ?

PROBLEM IN PERFORMANCE
well, windows vista install alright but when determinate the performance it
stock in the half and after 15 minutes forward but all is slow, windows vista
start after 1hour and SLOW.
My computer
Pentium d 3.4ghz
80 HD
1gb ram
mainboard MSI rc410m (i read that not only me have problem with his mainboard)
Graphic card Ati x300/550 256MB

I am unable to run an info gathering tool to send to my Anti-virus software

Screen goes black for a second
Shortly after I turn on my computer my screen goes black for a few seconds
and then comes back on. This happens every time I turn it on, it doesn't
seem like it messes anything up when it happens but it has gotten really
annoying. Any ideas on what might be causing this, or what I can do to stop

USB Device does not power down when sleeping
I have a docked laptop (Lenovo t60p). Plugged into the usb ports are a
tablet and an external disk drive.
When I put the computer to sleep, there tablet correctly loses power but the
disk drive keeps spinning.
How do I get the disk drive to power of too ?

End-User License Agreement
I just bought a new laptop with Vista Ultimate. I then installed MS Office
2003 on the new computer. However, whenever I want to open an MS Office
program I get a message that says "you must accept the End-User License to
use this software. If you don't accept, this application will quit". When
I "accept" the program runs fine.

Hard Drive Activity upon startup
When I start my laptop up on Vista Ultimate it goes into the desktop and
there is alot of hard drive activity for a few minutes. I have looked in the
resource monitor and seen that it is windows services like svchost but I want
to know if it could be anything else and how to improve this....

wpdmtpdr.dll will not let Vista go into sleep mode
My computer is Vista Premium will not go into sleep mode. Under the
performance information it says that wpdmtpdr.dll is causing Vista to not go
into sleep mode, if I dont use it anymore I should uninstall it. I believe
the problem started when WMP 11 recognized my Mp3 player (a creative zen

COM + Event System Errors with ID's of 4621
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium and instances
of COM+ Event System Errors with Event IDs
of 4621 appear in my application log every day.
I don't know if these errors are very important but it would be nice to get
rid of them since I am seeing this error #4621 all the time. How can I get

desktop problem
for some reason since I installed Vista on my laptop, everytime I have
successfully logged into the system I have to use the Task manager and use
the New task function to start "explorer.exe" otherwise the screen in blank
with nothing on it. It seems that windows isn't automatically starting the
explorer task as it should. Are there any steps I can follow to rectify this

Windows Explorer Stopped Working

Toolbar is Windows 2000 style?
I just got a EVGA GeForce 8800GTS and after I installed it, the toolbar at
the bottom went Windows 2000 style. Everything else was the style too. But I

Virtual memory
When i try to change my virtual memory and set them to both the same amount
(min 3026 and max 3026) and when i click on OK i get the blue screen dumps my
physical memory and reboots every time and will not change. just wondering
if anyone else is seeing this and if someone has a fix for it?...

Program Error with Windows Calendar
i bought a new toshiba satellite A100-1201E laptop with vista basic
pre-installed. i assumed that since the system works "out-of-the-box" i
would have no problems with programs crashing on me.
not so. the reminder feature for the standard windows calendar "crashes"

Explorer hogging system resources
I have noticed over the past few months that every once in a while, maybe
once every other day, for whatever reason, my computer will experience an
onslaught of poor performance that can only be fixed by manually restarting
the explorer process (with this approach, the problem usually resurfaces
