Ghost box
When ever I click on my favorites in the tool bar, all I get is a ghost box,
none of my saved faorites appear. All of the other tool bar items display
appropraitely.
What is wrong and how can I get the favorotes to show?

Per user archived Windows Error Reporting files
I do a disk cleanup and get this as one of the options. Its saying there are
51.5 gig of files that I can remove. My drive is 160 gig and I've only taken
up about 15 gig worth of space. I create a command prompt and do a dir. It
comes back with 146.8 gig of free space. I deleted this once before about a
month before and all of my programs disapeared. What is this and what did I

Force AERO for all users
Hi,
I know of the Tweak to enable AERO if it is not enabled on a Premium Machine
by using the DWORDS Composition and CompositionPolicy for Current_Users.
How can i enable it for all Users by default ?
Making the changes in HKLM or HKU\.Default didn't do the trick

Reliability Monitor no longer adding new data
Hi, my Reliability Monitor System Stability Chart stopped updating on
5/22/2007. The chart updated daily starting on 2/7/2007 (the day after Vista
was installed) until 5/22/2007. I've checked Task Schedular and RACAgent is
still running: Status is Queued; Last Run Time is 5/25/2007 3:12:39AM; Last
Run Result is "Unspecified error (0x80004005).

windows stopping and restarting
i dont have a problem logging into the computer but when i go to any of our
desktops, immediately i start getting a msg saying that windows explorer has
stopped working and that windows is searching for a solution. then i get the

System Restore problem
Can't create system restore point, the error code it told me is 0x8004230c
The disk not support shadow copy..
I am using Vista Home primium and NTFS Harddisk
Volume Shadow Copy service is turned on..
20GB space..
Why still can't do that?

Extending partition with Disk Management
I have a 250 GB SATA hard drive and I have 50 GB used up in my C drive. I had
an F drive with 170 GB; but I deleted it. Now the 170 GB is unallocated, I
want to extend my C drive with the unallocated space. When I click on Disk
Management in the control pannel and I right click on the C drive it is
greyed out and it wont let me click it. I have already tried Partition
Manager, it doesent...

Screensaver working slowly ....
If I have a web page open or even the sidebar open , bubbles ribbons Aurora
will all run slowly , with no web page up they all run fine .... any ideas

Vista freezing every 30 mins
Hi,
I assembled new computer of: ASUS P5N32-E SLI motherboard with Intel E4400,
GF 8600 GS and 2 GB of RAM. My HDD are 2 SATA drives (250 GB Samsung and 320
GB WD) not RAID. I have also EIDE DVD burner.
My VISTA will occasionally hang for about 30 - 60 s twice every hour; It
stops responding and I see only this dreadful blue circle.

System Restore
I have Task scheduler set for a once a week Restore point creation.
It tells me it has done it, but there is no record in the System Restore
window.
In fact, it is not doing any automatic setting of Restore Points, at all.
Surely things like
installing new software should trigger one.
I have to set RP's manually.
Any thoughts ?

Windows Mail Load
When I load Windows Mail for the first time after turning on computer, I
notice it takes 6 seconds to load it. During the 6 seconds, the Windows Mail
screen is shown and then loads. If I load it any other time, its pretty much
instant.
I have AMD Dual Core Processor and 2GB RAM so computer is pretty fast and all.
Is there a way to speed the loading of Windows Mail up?

Screen glitch
sometimes, when i am browsing the internet, or just looking at pictures, my
screen glitch, the whole screen image moves to the side, then goes back, its
not really a problem, more of a nuisance, its really anoying! If anybody has
encountered the same problem, could you please tell me how to fix it, thanks

Vista update installed, now PC will not start!
Any ideas?? I installed a Vista Update yesterday which went finem in not a
little slow, i tried to turn on the PC today and now i greeted with a message
telling me one of the system 32 files can not be found!
Needless to say i a bit ****** off, the safe mode start just goes around in
a loop and will not initiate either, ani ideas or help would be thankfully
recieved.

Explorer.exe disk thrashing
Hi all,
After running Vista Ultimate for a little more than a month now, I am fairly
happy with it, but one thing keeps annoyign me: the pretty-much constant disk
thrashing that is spoiling my otherwise fairly low-noise system. Also, I have
to wonder how it affects the life of my disks to be constantly working.
I have 2GB of ram, and the thrashing occurs whether the machine is otherwis...

Programs and Features Head Aches
Hello,
I'm noticing that Vista Home Basic sometimes does not list a program as
being installed even though it is. I installed Daemon Tools 32-bit v4.09 but
when I went to uninstall Daemon Tools it doesn't show up in the list of
installed programs. This happened before with another program (can't
remember which one).

'noprefetch' command
I was having trouble with a game called STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl, where
in certain parts of the game when you push the quick-save button or the ESC
key, the game crashes to desktop. Searching for an answer, I found a solution
in the Stalker forum where you add a '-noprefetch' command after the exe path
in the games shortcut. This worked for me and no more CTDs.

Vista Business fluxuating CPU Utilization to 100%
Lately, I have experienced CPU utilization fluxuations to 100% every 5 or 6
seconds with no applications started. The system is a 2.0GHz with 2GB of
memory. It seems to be SVCHOST.EXE files that are the culprits. I have let
the system sit after a reboot for more than an hour thinking that it may be
temporary - it continues to spike to 100% CPU every 5 or 6 seconds.

Resource Monitor - CPU graph
In the resource monitor, CPU graph, there is a blue line and green
graph.
As far as I can tell the blue line is the CPU's clock speed, and the
green is the actual utilization. Is that correct?
Did I miss any documentation here?

drive d full
Vista prem, back up on d full. nobody seems to be addresing the questions!!!.
The drive fills up and when you try to delete restore points nothing happens.
Im starting to asume that this because the drive is full. also when you try
to delete files you cant because the drive is to full to put filles into
recycle bin.whats going on!!!...

Power buttons no longer work
I've had my new Dell desktop PC for a month.
The power buttons on the screen, (restart, shutdown) were working but now it
hangs. I get the blue Vista shutdown screen, then I get a black screen then
it just sits. I have to manually pull the plug to switch off.
If any kind brilliant person can help you may just save me from a total
nervous breakdown!

just built a new system. amd 64x2 6000+, 2g ddr2 800, 250 g sata2, 2 nvidia
8600gt running sli. when windows installed it tested the proformance and

Ulead Photoimpact 12 uses .ufo (Ulead File for Objects) as a part of its
graphics package. [Photoimpact 12 is Vista compliant.]
Vista will not move, copy, or delete these .ufo files. It "estimates time
to complete" until the task is cancelled and doess not perform the requested
task.
