Serious Issues...
Recently, my PC has become very sluggish. Here is my list of problems:
- slow startup and shut down (about 2 minutes for each)
- upon reboot, I get this message, "aswboot.exe program not found." What is
this?
- I get messages, such as "Readyboost has stopped working," and "Host
process
for windows services has stopped working."

ReadyBoost.sfcache disapears from flash drive
Two weeks ago I reloaded Vista Ultimate (32-bit) on a Dell Latitude D620.
The only significant change in the system is that I enabled BitLocker
encryption.
Before reloading the OS I was using ReadyBoost on a 1GB SanDisk Cruzer
Titanium. Since the reload I've noticed that the ReadyBoost.sfcache file

Module not found
How can I get the following error message to go away:
c:\program2\kodak\easysharesetup\registration_7.1.30.7.sxt
The specified module could not be found
I don't use Kodak Easyshare anymore, but can't get rid of this message....

Windows update issue
Today's update leaves 7 uninstalled after 2 reboots it still says they

Control Pannel Problem
I tried posting this in the Windows Update section, and haven't found a
solution yet.

Ok I've got a strange update problem.
Clean install on a HP Pavilion ZV6000 AMD 64 3200 1.5G Ram 40G hardrive.
Trying to Test vista out right now.

USB problems
When I connet my camera to download my pictures or any USB storages, my
computer said that it don't recognize it and I cant use my USB, any help?
I am using Windows Vista Bussines edition in a new computer and I can't find
any driver to fix it.

Defragmenting with Vista
Why is it when you defragment your main drive that it takes longer with Vista
than XP? Also, why is there not an option to choose what drive you want to
defragment? I love Vista's layout, but we should have some common views in
Vista that XP had, such as the defragmenter, it shows the color of files on
the drive and fragmented files, and is a lot faster to defrag.

reliability and performance monitor
Hello,
The reliability and performance monitor quit updating on 05/30/07. The
system stability chart(all dates) end on 05/30/07. I upgraded to Vista on
05/05/07. Haven't experienced any major problems since the upgrade. What
could be the problem?

Help ! Vista frequently Hangs up
I upgraded to Vista from XP and now I'm plagued with frequent "hang-ups."
The computer just hangs up for about 30seconds every 5-10 minutes. I can't
stop it. Doesn't matter if it's online or offline. No errors, everything
seems fine, it just freezes. There must be something running in the
background I can't figure out....

Hard Drive Space Missing
I've been reading a lot in the forum about others having drive space loss due
to shadow files, system restore, etc.
I understand that.
Here's my issue. I have new IBM Thinkpad T60 (very nice). It came with a
160 GB hard drive. I added a second 160 GB drive in the Ultrabay.
Well I've put all of my programs and documents on my primary C: drive that
shows a formatted capacity of 142...

10 second black screen when permission asked
Looking for a little help that I can not figure out. This is regarding a HP
DV9008nr. 1500RAM, 100GB Harddrive, dual AMD processors (1.63GHZ). When I
start my notebook a screen appears asking if I want to start one of two Vista

Computer Will not go to sleep
Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus w/ latest non-beta BIOS 0501, Intel E6600 Dual Core,

New Dell laptop slow to boot Vista Home Premium
My laptop takes ages to boot Vista HP (it's new and came with HP
pre-installed).
As I only have 1 user it boots straight to desktop (no logon screen), and
specifically, it take ages after the "Welcome" writing and little blue

Vista Search not working, options greyed out - how do I get it bac
Office2007 and Vista search are not working any more on my machine. The
indexing service is running, but the control panel search options just keep
telling me it is waiting to receive indexing status, and all buttons are
greyed out (but cance :)).
Is there a way to perhaps reset the indexing options, delete any indexes
that may be there and set it all up from scratch without reinstallin...

I ran the updates from microsoft on 7/10 and today outlook 2007 has been not

Help Vista won't start, Acronis software to blame.
Right here's the scenario,
installed Acronis Disk Director Suite trial software last night, tried to
run the program resulting in instant blue screen, no error messages just a
blue screen.
Reset PC and restarted, tried again with same results. Restarted again and
immediately uninstalled Acronis software and restarted to complete
uninstallation.

Okay so I'm having a little problem.
I just got this new laptop and I've been using it for a couple of months and
everything worked fine until one day I turn it on and BOOM! Everything just

Re-Install vista
Hi all: I was wondering could I re-installed Vista Premium over the first
install and would it correct any file corruption that may have occurred in
the first install? And if so, would I lose any programs, files, drivers,
