INSUFFICIENT TEMPORARY FILE SPACE
Can anyone help me? I have a 2420 Acer TravelMate Laptop. I am trying to make
up to date recovery disks. The recovery disk that I have are out of date they
do not have all the programs that I use now, also when I first got my laptop
it was fat and I changed it to ntfs. So when I have had to run disk recovery
it take a long time to my laptop back to how I want it.

changing cursor hover color
how do i change hover color on the shut down button? Can't really see the

Backup confusion - I need TWO full backups? :-S
Okay, on XP backup was simple. I create a full backup of my whole PC
including system settings, then add to it incrementally. If I want to
restore an individual file from that backup, I can. If I need to restore
the entire PC inc. Windows, I can.
But in Vista am I right in thinking that if I still want a full backup, I
need to create a Complete PC Backup, but that this will NOT allow...

MOM.Implementation file
When my Vista Home Premium starts up I get a message that says "Could not
load file or assembly 'MOM.Implementation' or one of its dependencies. The
system cannot find he file specified." Looks like something from the
Registry. Does anyone have any suggestions?...

Photo Gallery won't open pictures
All of the photos show in the gallery but if you try to open one it won't
open. This just started and there was a message about not enough memory.
I've checked and I have loads of memory. Does anyone know what is happening
and how to correct it?

HELP: Startup files corrupted after power is switched off accident
Help!
The startup programs such as the Windows Sidebar, Norton Internet Security
and the Toshiba system programs cannot be started after I accidentally switch
my power supply off. I'm using a Toshiba laptop, and now the Fn key is not
functioning which is very important to turn wireless on/off, sleep,
brightness, and others!

Vista Premium Theme Problem
It vista, my theme is messed up, the taskbar does not go transparent when I
don't have any windows maximized. Also the windows that popup, like the
administrative options ones do not use the premium theme.

Computer Randomly Locks up.
This is my 4th reinstallation of Vista Ultimate. I keep on reinstalling
because I heard that fixes the problem. It doesn't, I built my computer. It
doesnt matter what im doing but it will lock up and it wont unlock for 10

Vista Activation
I have setup my new computer with vista, and activated a few days before, I
am using raid 0, I am just wondering what will happen , if anything happen to
my raid and I lose all my activation, how can I take a back up, so that I can

Help with disk cleanup please.
I am wanting to do a disk cleanup. I have Vista Home Premium. I know that I
can remove the temporary files and all of that. I have also as an option to
remove "per user archieved windows error report" 2 each. One is 40.9KB and
the other is 100KB.
I also have 2 "per user qued wiondows error report" one is 310 KB and
193KB. Can I delete these without compromising my computer? I apprecia...

VISTA64 fails to enter sleep mode
I know there is some people having this problem, so far there does not
seem to be a fix for this.
The computer attempts to got to sleep but it just starts up again and
carries on.
I have removed all USB devices except for the mouse (no options).
Downloaded the latest drivers from nvidea, my p5b-e bios is 1202 and
is the latest available.
Sleep is good, as it does help reduce power use, ...

Missing power management option?
When I go power options, I have no option for closing the lid of my laptop.
In other words, where there should be a "When I close the lid, do what?"
option, there is none.

Max Screen Resolution
I have Windows Vista Ultimate installed on my custom built pc. I have a
samsung 204b monitor 20.1 inches max resolution 1600x1200. My graphics card
is an nvidia geforce 8600 gts. I have all the latest drivers for monitor and
video card. Why won't vista let me change my resolution to greater then

AutoPlay Makes HDD Light Flash Every Second
When I have AutoPlay enabled on my computer with Vista, the hard disk always
flashes once or twice every second. However, when I disable it, it only
flashes every 2-5 seconds generally. Does anyone else notice this? Is this

Disk Cleanup effectiveness
Is the Disk Cleanup program supposed to empty the C:\Windows\Temp folder? I
have run Disk Cleanup a few times already and the above Temp folder is
packed full with files . . . some as far back as November of 2006. Can I
delete these? (What are *.htp files and lpksetup.log files?)

Performance Rating
I recently decided to reassess my performance rating since I'd added a TV
tuner. I have made no other changes. I was surprised to see my graphics
gaming performance drop from 4.8 to 4.4, and since that is the lowest score,
it dropped my total perfomance to 4.4. What would cause a drop like this?
All other scores stayed the same, including my Aero grahpics score of 4.6.

Vista has slow response after domain join
Hi everyone!
I'm having a problem with my Vista boxes after joining in my W2k3
domain.
Everything tooks very long. So the logon process can take up to 3
minutes. Create a folder on a network share will take about 20 seconds.
Synchronising Exchange with OL2007 is very slow, too! For one Mail to
synchronice it will take about 20 seconds. Copy 5 GB from Vista to
Server takes about 4 hours on a...

Windows Search will not start
Help! I killed Windows Search.
I had a folder of ripped music CDs on a hard drive, not my system/boot
drive, on my PC. I created this folder manually a couple months ago. Today,
I tried to delete the folder but got an error that the folder "Windows" could
not be removed because it was in use by another program.
Odd, I thought. I browsed through the music folder and found a folder...

Can't open or save files
I'm not sure exactly at what point this started (if it was after installing
software or if it just happened on its own for some reason), but other than
using Windows Explorer, I cannot open or save a file.
If I am in Word or Photoshop or any other program, as soon as I attempt to

Font size in Vista
Hello everyone.
I am wondering if there is a way to increase font size in Vista without
adjusting the DPI scale. Some of my programs won't run correctly when I
adjust the font to a bigger size using the DPI scale method. I know how to
make font bigger in IE7, but is there a way to do this on the desktop and in
other programs? I want to keep running my monitor in its native 1280 x 1024
