How to get Photo gallery "make a movie" button open WMM 2.6?
When I clicked on "Make a movie" button in Windows Photo Gallery, I got an
error stating that WMM could not start because my video card does not support
required hardware acceleration. After browsing through its help, I downloaded
and installed WMM 2.6.
Now my problem is how do I tell this "Make a movie" button to open WMM 2.6.
It just always tries to open the default WMM which came with ...

NVIDIA nForce Audio Processing Unit
About two weeks ago I lost sound from my motherboard. It has been working
fine with Vista 64bit for almost three months then bam outta nowhere theres
nothing! When you click on your speakers etc it says that everything is

What dvd/cd burming software are you using?
Just wonder what software people are have success with on Vista 32bit. I'm
running Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 but many thing are really flawed in it.
Looking for another option preferably something a little more light weight.

Does Vista DVD playback allow enhancements e.g. 'Sharpen'?
Like WinDVD does Vista's Media Center interface DVD playback offer any
realtime enhancements, such as sharpening to enhance Standard Definition
DVDs when played on a High Definition screen?

Unable to open saved project in Movie Maker, HELP!!
I recently (last month) bought a new HP Pavalion a1730n with Windows Vista
Home Premium. I have been using Movie Maker and DVD Maker wihtout any
problems until today. Suddenly I am not able to open a previously saved

Media player works in xp not in vista
I try to watch a video stream on vista but I get network cnnect error
message, I can go out to my xp machine and lnk to exact same sight and it
works fine. I have checked the settings in vista and xp media player 11 on
both. Checked firewall settings in Live One care on both set the same. SO why

Is Windows Explorer limited to 100 line items (#=0-99) or can that be

Vista Media Center library setup
Hello all,
i hope some one can help with this is there any way to remove a hard drive
from the media center library?
the prob i have is on one of the drives i have 2 folders 1 filled with files
which are NOT media files (althought the extentions would tell you otherwise)

Vista Photo Gallery Bug?
Vista Photo Gallery freeze Computer every time I try start a slide show. The

Problem with tagging photos
Okay I have tagged all my photos in Windows Photo Gallery. But when I go to
windows media center it shows about 100 photos that i have not tagged. I

Automatically save clips from DV video
Hi all,
I am trying to automatically save clips from my DV camera so that I can
organize them like pictures (YouTube style). Windows Movie Maker detects the
clips fine, but then to split the file I have to manually create a new movie
for each clip.
Does anyone know how I could automate this process? All videos would be at

Cannot Import Pictures
I can no longer import pictures from my camera with Vista Premium. I
connect the camera and click on 'Import Pictures Using Windows' and a box
comes up saying 'No Pictures Or Videos Were Found On This Device'.
However, if I click on 'View Pictures Using Windows'. all my pictures are

Can't play Videos. At all.
I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium and have been for about three months
now, and its mostly been running fine (at least where this is concerned).
However, the other day I chucked an audio CD in the drive in order to listen
to some music and now everything has screwed up.
I tried to autorun the CD in WMP, and WMP refused to even start up. I ended

WMP won't open
Windows Media player won't open, I click the
shortcut and nothing. I try clicking wmplayer.exe
directly and nothing happens. wmplayer.exe
and wmp.dll file versions are 11.0.6000.6324.

vista wont play full screen?
Hi, can anyone tell me why when I use slide show to view my photos etc with
Vista the photos dont fill the screen like with XP? There is a gap on each
side.This is also the case when I view most dvds aswell. Is it possible to
rectify this & how?

Thumbnail views are wrong
After viewing a folder and Vista makes thumbnails, changing the file using
other programs does not update the thumbnail image. There is no option to
refresh the image. There is no thumbs.db file to delete.
How do I solve this?...

Editing Audio Tracks in Vista Movie Maker
I'm editing a short, 5-minute video for a submission to a cable channel.
While i know that Movie Maker is very rudimentary, it will hopefully serve my
