Computer Messing With Images
My computer keeps messing with the focus on the pictures that I upload from
my camera.
For example, the pictures look fine on Windows Photo Gallery. They're the
images I've uploaded, resized, and usually in good focus depending on how
good of focus the picture was in originally. But I've found that when I use a

MiniDV to DVD: Choppy video playback?
Hi, I recently started using Windows DVD Maker, but I'm having a problem.
I'm encoding some homemade videos from my DV camera to DVD. The video
transfers to the compter no problem, and plays back just fine.
However, after the DVD Maker burns the disk, the framerate is terrible. The
video is jittery and it makes my head hurt watching it.

Viewing thumbnails
When I use explorer (Vista/Ultimate) I had the option of viewing the
contents of a graphic folder as a thumbnail. I installed my kid's copy of
Office Pro 2003 and when I use windows explorer and a folder that contains
say, all jpgs I no longer get a thumbnail view but just the picture name,
i.e.. IMP_0784.jpg. How do I get my view (thumbnail) back so I don't have

Mastering the Audio tracks of DV files in MM6
I have noticed that MM6 does not let you increase the volume of an audio
track of a DV file in the timeline, while the previous versions would.
So if I am trying to mix the volume of the video audio, with the volume of a
music track playing at the same time, the only option I have is to lower the
relative volume of the music track.

No audio in Windows Movie Maker - HELP!
I have made a movie using Windows Movie Maker with audio (ripped from a CD to
MP3 format sound). It was working fine until I switched on this morning and

Simultaneous narration and music in Movie Maker
Can someone tell me how I can get a music file (MP3) and an audio file
(narration also recorded as an MP3) to play simultaneously? When I drag the
narration file to the "Audio/Music" are of the Movie Maker window, the file
either comes before or after the music file that I already added to the
movie. Can I get the narration to play at the same time as the music?...

Movie Maker v6 cannot drag files to storyboard

I'm not able to drag video clips to the Storyboard in Windows Movie Maker v6

Sound doesn't work
When I test the sound in Control Panel my speakers work. Then when I try to
play anything in iunes, WMA or MP3 format or on web cam the sound is totally
muted. Helpthis is driving me crazy. I have checked and nothing has been

Windows Paint program
I imported a picture of a car into Paint and would like to change the color
of the car, but do not know how to do this or if it is possible. I clicked on
the paint bucket and the color I chose, but when I clicked on the car to
change its color, nothing happened. Do I have to somehow outline the car
first or is this just not possible?

PVR software for Vista
I'm running Vista Business, and have a Leadtek WinFast TV2000 tuner card
installed, complete with Vista drivers. Unfortunately, Leadtek has yet to
update their Personal Video Recorder software to work in Vista, so I need
some program to watch and record shows on my PC.
I realize I can upgrade to Vista Ultimate and get the Media Center, but $140
seems a lot to spend just for this featur...

Compatabulity with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
My bmp files are lesson notes used for teaching. They are imported from an
XP system, and were opened with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer on Windows XP.
On Vista they are opened by Windows Photo Gallary.
How do I get the screen layout to be the same as on XP? These are problems
that I noticed:

Why does mpeg video play for 1 second while audio plays fine?
I play some mpeg files and they go great. Some files the video starts then
stops (blue progress bar is at the right end like it was finished playing)
but the audio plays at the proper rate. Help me out here....

WMM imports .avi file as audio only
I can play my .avi's in WMP fine, but when I import to Windows Movie Maker it

Windows Movie Maker - MP3's suddenly won't play

Kodak Easy Share changes to Basic Vista color?
Is it normal to have Vista Home Premium switch to Vista Basic when Kodak

DVD Maker error after 99 percent
I recorded three 30 minute T.V. shows through WMC. When I attempt to create
a DVD of the dvr-ms files through DVD maker, the menu, scene selection and
previews work fine. When I select to burn the DVD, it encodes fine then
begins to burn the DVD. When it gets to 99 percent a couple or few hours
later, It ejects the disc and says there was an error creating the DVD.

Media Player raises CPU Temp-Is this normal?
I've noticed whenever I have media player running, whether it is playing or
not, the cpu temp gets from 8-14 degrees (Celsius) hotter. Nothing else is
running.
Is this a normal thing?

sound
i can have a video call with my contacts but they can't hear me and i can't
hear them either.What could the problem be?please am getting so frustrated i
want to take it back to the shops today.I have a logitech webcam and the pics
are brilliant but NO SOUND!! When i check the wizard i get sound very clearly

Windows Media Center
This is one of those annoying little problems. I have a multiple monitor
set-up. Occasionally, I like to play movies or whatever on DVD in WMC on a
smaller monitor I have. The problem is that I can't minimize WMC to a
