Paint Shop Pro 7 and .png
I have Paint Shop Pro 7 and when looking at .png files they have a black or
white background. Before when looking at them in PSP 7 they were transparent.
How do I get them to load transparent?
For now I'm doing this...

Windows Movie maker
I purhcased my new Dell XPS 410 (vista home Premium) 2 months ago. All of a
sudden my Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker programs don't BURN. I
need to use ROXIO or Windows Media Center to Burn. Has anyone else had
this problem?

paint problem need help please.
I just bought a new laptop with the vista operating system. I drew a picture
in paint and it turned out very nice untill I saved it. To give you an
example of my problem If I draw a square and then save the pic when i reopen
it and try to change the background color there is a border of light colored
pixels that surround the square....

How can I automate sound device selection? (speakers vs. dock)
Hi, I have a VAIO laptop which has 2 sound devices shown:
1. Speakers / Headphones (SigmaTel HD Audio CODEC)
2. Digital Output Device S/PDIF (SigmaTel HD Audio CODEC)
This is pretty simple - when the laptop is undocked I want it to use its
spakers (1). When it is docked I want it to use the docking station's
S/PDIF (2).

Media player slow to change track and can't play whilst ripping
A couple of questions about media player 11:
When Im playing a track and then double click on another to play it, it
takes about 10 seconds to start playing again. I've noticed that the words
"changing media" appear in the bottom left while im waiting. Is this normal?
It didnt happen with the old media players!
Also when i play any tracks while ripping a CD they are disrupted i.e.

and I cannot see the video clips with the windows media player. I can her the

Canon HV20
Can anyone tell me how I can connect a Canon HV20 to Vista Ultimate 64 bit to
download HD video? Vista sees the camera when it is connected via firewire,
but cannot find the install drivers. I have used the CD that came with it and
went to the Canon website as well and there do not appear to be any specific
Vista drivers for it, although the HV20 is supposedly Vista certified.

No sound from youtube only
I have Vista, have 5 user accounts, everything was fine until about a month
ago when youtube (and only youtube) audio stopped playing when in user
account #1 (all other accounts allowed YT audio to play). Just a couple of

Watching ripped DVD's in Vista Ultimate: How do I do it?
Hello. I recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate from XP Pro. I'm using WMC for
the first time after having my HTPC all set up using Media Portal. In Media
Portal, I accessed my ripped DVD's (.iso files) and using an Intervideo codec

DVD won't play, digital copy protection issues.
I can't play any DVDs on my Gateway GT5404. It displays the following

movie info for media center in vista premium
How come I can not download movie info for the dvd library in media center
for the movies I have saved on my hard drive. They are all DVD file (VOB,IFO)
type files. Is their something or some how I can do this. also am I doing

HELP!!! Move Maker 2 freezes
Adding a certain number of transitions to a movie causes the preview panel to
'freeze'. I've heard other mention that it is a problem with a codec but as
a new Vista user I can't locate where the codecs are.
One of the possible culprits may be from my canon camcorder.
I'm using a Dell Inspirton 6400, 3 weeks old.

Photo Gallery Problem
When i try to open a picture i get this message-
This picture can,t be displayed. You mightnot have enough memory available.
Close some programs or,if your hard disc is almost full,free some disc space
and try again
I have nothing running and have plenty memory and disc space.(iI can open
them with any other program, Photoshop etc)
Can anyone please help?.

Not able to read DVD burned with Windows Media Player 11
I've burned some pictures onto a DVD last night using Windows Media Player
11, and I viewed them using Windows Media Centre (Windows Vista Home Premium)
shortly after. Today I tried to open the folder and I can't see it in

Uninstall Windows Media Player 11 on Vista
Does anyone know how to do this? I have tried the standard appwiz.cpl and
show installed updates and windows services but cannot find anywhere to
remove the app? I want to remove and re-install due to the player blue
screening my box every 30 mins when watching any movie or playing music. Can

I have a sony Mini Dv camcorder DCR-HC21 NTSC and i'm not sure how to view
the photos i have taken in the camera to my notebook computer i have a USB
connector that came with the camcorder and contect it to my labtop USB port
But DO I have to have a DV contector intead? or should the USB one work?...

cant get music library in media center
whenever i go to media center and click on music library i get the message. a
necessary componant of media center is currently not available. pleas restart
media center. i cannot reinstall as my vista disk was left on a radiator and

Problem with DVD Maker on Vista.
Hello Everybody,
I get the message below as the solution to the problem of burning a DVD
with DVD maker but I am at a loss on how to implement the solution. I am
totally lost and will need any assistance.
I can find the Microsoft Knowledge Base but I can not find the article that

PHOTOS
Help! I just purchased a new computer with a Vista operating system. Photos
I transferred from my older computer, loaded on a thumb-drive and plugged
into the new computer are all stretched horizontally. I suspect seeing them
on a new 19-inch flat-screened monitor with new settings is the problem.
But, where can I find the settings to adjust? Any help would be appreciated.
