WMP 11 and trustedinstaller.exe
Hi,
Using WMP 11 on Windows Vista Ultimate.
When I play something with WMP (MP3, ASF, webstreams, etc. etc.), and I
stop the playback (or close WMP), the CPU usage of trustedinstaller.exe
skyrockets to 70 to almost 100% for a while. This is very annoying, and
I have not been able to find a solution for this, other than killing the
Windows Modules Installer (which is something I don't w...

Windows Media Player won't start
Greetings!
I have a problem with my Media Player 11 on Vista Ultimate. Whenever it is
started, it simply exits - no window ever popping up, no event logged,
nothing. This happes regardless of whether I run it as Admin, as a user,
whether I start it via shortcut or double-click a .wm* file.
I tried the fix in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925704 but it didn't

Problems with Playing Storyboard
I recently got a new PC in March and it's running the Windows Vista Home
Premium, 32 bit version. I have imported my video clips into the Windows
Movie Maker and have been adding transitions and effects. The problem is when
I click on a frame and press the play icon in the preview pane. Nothing
happens. It won't play a preview so I can tell if I like what I've done.

Movie Make Audio just stopped working on some files
I have vista home Prem...Been using movie maker and all of a sudden not all
avi files will play the audio portion. Any suggestion? when I view the avi
files using other program like quick time the audio portion works just fine.

Doesn't Media Center use zap2it for the Guide features? Does this news mean
something bad for Media Center, such as Microsoft having to send an
Automatic Update to either kill the Guide or ask the Windows user for a
credit card number to start using Gemstar, or something?

Hi. I have an old version of Picture It (2002). Vista will not accept it- it

Cannot burn shared music
I have a laptop running vista premium.
I am using windows media player 11.
I have 2 users for this laptop.
I have created a playlist using music from both users (both are shared to
each other)
However, when I drag my playlist into a burn list and select burn I get the

MovieMaker doesn't play imported video - only audio
I guess I am missing codecs. I have imported .avi files for a video I am
needing to make, but only audio plays and shows a black screen when I try to
play it in either Media Player or in MovieMaker. I have a new computer with
Vista Premium and MovieMaker. Can anyone please advise what I need to do so
I can see my video to work with it? Thank you!

Win Movie Maker
I have a ton of Vids in .avi format. And when i try to import any of them
into movie maker it says Windows Movie Maker Has Stopped Working. My options
are to check online for solution (that has done nothing the past 200 times)
or close the program.
Neither of these help me at all. What is the problem? I thought the vid
might be to large so i got a very small one (35meg) still won't work. ...

Movie Maker and annoying green bar
When I use Movie Maker to process an XVID file and it then calls DVD Maker,
the resulting DVD has a green bar across the lower-half of the screen. When I
use Movie Maker to convert the XVID file to WMV format, the resulting .WMV
file has the green bar, too.
When I launched DVD Maker manually and added the same XVID file myself, the

they are set to fit to window and they don't appear to be shrunk in
proportion with the length and width.

Changing the orientation of photos in contact sheet
I have several photos of different sizes that I want to print as a contact
sheet, displaying the file names. I select all the pictures from the picture
folder, click print and click contact sheet on the left pane of the print
window. For some reason the "wizard" rotates some of the pictures, making

Folder Image Problems
Had Windows Vista Home Premium running for about three weeks.
The major problem i am having with it, is the images in the folders keep
changing, all the time on a regular basis.
For instance in My Music folder the image of the albums keep changing over
to the wrong albums. And i am now getting album covers showing up in my
program files and in My Tv directorys.

Media Center without Aero support?
I'm looking to upgrade to Vista on my laptop, but it doesn't have the full
pre-requisites for Aero support (only a 64mb video card). I do want an
integrated media center, but as that is really the only appeal to me of Home
Premium over Basic, will it work? I haven't found anything anywhere that

Thumbnails not working in Vista
Hi,
I am running 64 bit Vista Business Edition. I have a lot of pictures store
on my computer and since I installed Vista, thumbnails hasn't been working.

Photo Gallery Crop / Resize Tools
Microsoft,
Please, oh please allow me to be able to see the actual pixel dimensions
when I am croping a photo in Photo Gallery. Guessing is not working out.
Or at least allow your fantastic Image Resizer XP Power Toy to work on
Vista. As things stand now I have to load up Photoshop everytime I want to
make a simple size alteration to an image.

Handycam and Packard Bell Vista
I have a Packard Bell Easynote BU45 Laptop and cannot connect my Sony
Handycam via USB.
It says it needs a device driver but cannot find it.
The laptop doesn't have a firewire card and I have searched the hard drive
for a driver but no luck.

When playing a list of songs in Vista MCE I can see wich song is playing now.

Resume music after sleep mode
I would like a resume option in WMP music. When playing a playlist and in the
middle of it I have to leave or something like that I put my PC into Sleep
mode. When I turn on the pc again the playlist will start all over again. I
want to go further where the last song stopped. Like in carradio's.
Winamp has such plugin and worked great when I didn't use MCE2005 and Vista.
